Eastern Front 1.50 Patch

Eastern Front Fans,

The 1.50 patch is now released. Includes criticals for some soviet units, new music for soviets and many bug fixes reported by the community or found by us.

We wanted to release this the last month, but considered than would be a rushed release prefered to delay it a little longer, we hope you enjoy the results of our work.

Another feature included is, a new mode was implemented for the Blitzkrieg/Red Tide Challenge called "Fortress Mode" similar to the previous modes, but completely focused on defense. Facing waves of enemies, each one stronger than the previous one.

There are new maps for this update as well, we proudly announce the inclusion of four new maps:

• Lemberg (4) by MaxiKing6


• Karachev (2) by Sylver


• Kalach (6) by cephalos/MaxiKing6


• Stalingrad Railroad Station (4) by BurroDiablo

Another surprise is that Cranialwizard and WartyX made a guide for EF units (don't worry, linky will be posted soon).

Also, Eastern Front now will have support for Simplified Chinese texts, so the player can choose if he want to use Traditional or Simplified Chinese translations (only appliable for EF texts - pending at this moment).

At last but not least, we would like to invite you to join to our 2vs2 Tournament, you can find more information on this topic:
EF 2v2 Tournament 2, there will be some prizes for the winner(TBD).

Something is wrong, when  I click play in EF laucher , tales of valor starts, not Eastern Front  ???

OK download complete.

But can't select Soviets after starting CoH by EF launcher?! What is this?

Edit: Same problem kYLERIS noted. Yet another f*cked up patch? You guys are spooked!  ;D

Seems to work for some and to fail for others. I'm on Windows 7 64 bit.

mh im also ready with the patch and have no problems selecting the soviets

I have the same issue as others. The launcher starts ToV and not EF.

Edit: One of my mates as it as well.

Killar and evilSpike probably had the beta installed. Maybe the patch fails if you update without it?

No, there are games being hosted currently by people not in the beta team and are working fine.

It seems the balance team can only connect to each other at the moment actually.

The last conscript vet was worthless. You will not miss it

Tried starting without the launcher ("C:\Program Files (x86)\THQ\Company of Heroes\RelicCOH.exe" -dev -mod Eastern_Front -nomovies. Execute in "C:\Program Files (x86)\THQ\Company of Heroes") same result.

1.501 seems to fix it. thanks a lot  :).

Had to create my own shortcut (see above) as the launcher took forever to check for available updates before it allowed to hit "Play". I know the server is busy now but is there an option to not wait for the check?

hello everyone!yes, i have same trouble - i can't even download patch using ef launcher, its just turns off (launcher) and nothing happens...

yes

open your coh folder. Open your EF_Launcher_Config with your editor (administrator rights!!!). Than change the entry Auto_Update=true into Auto_Update=False. Then save ans start the launcher again

Kotelnikovo and EF's Hinderdam (4) weren't that new at all as well, it was released a while ago. under that concept no map would be new because most new maps are available to be played.

Patch downloads are being overloaded due to the large amount of users updating. Just be patient!

This is just a suggestion but maybe a thread should be made in the bugs and tech support about patch 1.5 not working :P. It would help seperate the comments about 1.5 and the comment about not having 1.5 :P

It's fixed already...

If anyone with eyes or mind saw the post or clicked update on their launcher twice they'd see there's a hotfix.

There is, check settings ;)

OK, found it. To save others some time, in the launcher:

1. Click "Settings", untick "Auto update", click "OK"


2. Close the launcher


3. Start launcher again

Steps 2 and 3 shouldn't be necessary. The launcher should just stop waiting for the server to respond.

Edit: Having a "Cancel" button would be even better. People only want to skip searching for updates once, not turn it off forever.

finally my favorite strat (urban) is fixed! I never used urban in pvp games cause i though it wasnt that effective and there were bugs but now i think i will use it more
