Cannot download the patches? Look here!

Incremental Patches for the latest major version [[IP address redacted]]. Download this first if you have an older version.

In the top link you can get the last version of the Full Installer, no matter if you have a previous version, it will remove it and proceed to install the newer.

Do I need to install patch 1.02 to be able to apply 1.03 and 1.04? Because as of right now, I can neither download that one with the launcher or manually.

You must have every single patch, in order. So if you start on 1.00, then you first got to get 1.01 then 1.02, 1.03 and finally 1.04

I've managed to apply 1.04 in the meantime (1.03 didn't work). Can't download 1.02 at all. It always gets stuck at around 71% or right around 3.96 Mb, whether I use the EF autopatcher or the link in the OP.

Since downloading the game in early may, I have not been able to get a single patch. Where do I manually get them at what do I start on and go through. I have no clue as to what i have missed except the most recent two

Update: I was able to manually install the patch 1.01- 1.04. Are the two most recent ones next in line? My update thing is still no working so i'm going to have to manually install whatevers next

After [IP address redacted] the auto updates works. We had some server side issues before the update software, but is now bulletproof.

i've been downloading this mod from every site that i can find , including this one (which i did several times ) , and still it always fails , is it the server's fault or is my computer ? can anyone help me or give me a better link ?

I have same problem with Istalin.... This morning is the eighth time I'm trying to download EF_Setup 1.2.0.0. I try to download it from this site and ModDB. I even try another third party site.... It just disconnected in the middle of the download. And the worse is It couldn't be resumed.

The file is simply too big and needs a longer time to download so it tend to have a higher chance of failure. Maybe you could split the file into two or more part? Or maybe you could upload the file to a file sharing site which support "resume-able download" (eg: Mediafire)?

You can use a download manager to do the job. Like flashget or jdownloader.

??? Well, I use download Manager... The one I used is "orbit downloader" But the result is same... The download couldn't be resumed.... Does this site and ModDB really support resummable download?

I'm assuming this one goes here, if not, please notify me or move it on your own accord.
When I try to update my launcher, it says that the mod is not installed on my pc etc. However, when I click 'play' it works perfectly without any problems what so ever. Any ideas on what might be causing this?
(p.s. I haven't tried a reinstall yet, but will do so after I've played another round)

Yeah, I had the same problems with moddb quite a lot of times. There must be something really really wrong with resumable downloads from there.

I played EF and loved it, however I swapped PCs and needed to reinstall it. Alas, I cannot. I install the .exe file and I run the installer, but the bloody icon for initiation of the mod does not appear on desktop or in the file programs in the main disk. Please advise.

Well, that seems to be the easy one: find the launcher file in the directory, where you have CoH installed, make a shortcut, and place it on your desktop. 8)

If you really can't find the launcher anywhere, perhaps you installed the wrong exe. You need to download the full installer from here:

http://easternfront.org/?p=download

and run it with admin rights. Then you can download/install the patches of the OP.

For Several days I have attempted to DL the 1.31 Patch,  unsuccessfully. :(

I used the Update function of the 2.4 Launcher That appeared with
the 2011_01_21-EF_Setup[IP address redacted]_full_backup.exe DL file That gave me a functional version of EFv1.3 . (a vast improvement to EFv1.0 which IMO  was like an autistic child - Potentially Brilliant, apparently retarded. The prognosis for EFv1.3xx is definitely Brilliant).  :) :) :)

This may, I repeat may be an EF problem hence my post. I think the problem is on my end. I have similar difficulties with Steam, (no beta testing for me :().Are there any sites, Moddb for example, I can download the patch from? If so do you have any installation suggestions/guidelines? In any case I will post you with my results when I do get EFv1.1 up and running. Thank you.

Did you tried to download it using the links of the first post?

You need to install [IP address redacted] then [IP address redacted] and at last 1.3.1.0.

Don't think you need the old & outdated EF v1.1.

Thanks for the heads up. I had assumed the Launcher update function would automatically update missing patches.

Is the 2.4 Launcher the latest version?

Is the size of the various patches posted anywhere?
My home gaming computer is limited  to 3kbs bandwidth.
My laptop wifi gets ups to 200 kbs; but the nearest server is many miles away. I live way out in the  sticks.

If iirc, I think the las version is 3.1.

In order to play ef, you should download the lattest full installer on ModDB, v1.31 or if you have this installer 2011_01_21-EF_Setup[IP address redacted]_full_backup.exe (it's size is almost 800MB), you need to download and install the three patches located in the first post of this topic.

Before installing 1.30, if you had a previous version of EF installed, uninstall it first, then check on your Company of Heroes directory if Eastern_Front directory and related files (e.g. EF_launcher) exists, if true delete them.

Then proceed to install 2011_01_21-EF_Setup[IP address redacted]_full_backup.exe, and download 1.301, 1.302, 1.310 updates and install them in that order. Make sure you install EF and it's updates with admin rights.

Before fully patching EF, don't run it (remember to uncheck the start EF option at the final window).

The only problem will be the 1.310 patch, it's size is huge compared with the others :-\.

I cant seem to download the patch 1.1 even when i set the directory C:\ProgramFiles\THQ\Company of Heros\Eastern_Front\RelicCoH.exe it says an error occured while opening the file.

Why are you using 1.1 if we are on 1.4 ???? Try downloading the newer version from moddb.

Why is RelicCoH.exe inside EF folder ????

Why don't you save it in a normal folder instead of using that path ????

I can't download any file from this server. When IDM capture download link, it can't find file size and download is fail. External download links are ok. (gamefront...etc) . Why I am fail my download everytime in this server?

Now the patcher is working fine...my question is:

-Would it be like the past time where you patched the game trhough the patcher and it didnt work, so many of us needed to downloaded it manually??

-If its so, we are in a hurry because the manual patch is not working ".exe is not a valid win32 applicaction" it says every single time i redownload it...why?
