THQ will develop a new Company of Heroes game

Sounds difficult :P. At least you guys know what you're doing :D

I know that if a group of un-payed computer coders can create such an amazing mod, the company that designed the game will also do a good job. But, I will judge when there is more information.

They might be able to create nice units and model and such but its the content and the gameplay that counts :P

I can not wait for the trailer to comes out. hope it will be a rts game like the other Company of Heroes games.
My greatest wish is the Eastern front. but a war like the cold war could also be interesting because it never broke out.
The Pacific Theatres could also be great, with huge maps,  aircraft carriers and water as part of the battlefield together with land- and air-combat. ;D

but really I'm just so happy because it sure will be a great hit. ;D

Something wierd happened today, I was looking around on the apple app store and discovered that THQ made the game for mac. But keep your pants on before you start nerding all over the keyboard. The game includes no skirmish or online multiplayer for some reason. Just thought I'd let everyone know.

i think the new title of COH 2 is "COMPANY OF HEROES - not one steps back". I have read the whole article and to me it seems like it is the best from two worlds: company of heroes and men of war.

key features from the article:
Set in the beginning of 1941, the players role will take him from the defense of stalingrad to the victory at berlin.
Graphics look amazing the soldiers look just as good as they do in other ww2 firstperson shooters.
Realistic snow, tank treads make realistic marks, also tanks can get bogged down in snow drifts.
Snow melts Eg: a soldier with a flamethrower burns a farmhouse the snow on the roof melts and makes the roof fallin.
You can vault over fences.
New Feature called "True Sight" You can only see what your units see.
More advanced covering system.

Seriously Iam kind of disapointed. I already experienced the eastern front in COH thanks to the EF mod. This mod rocks.
I know it will have better graphic and new features and its one of the bloodiest fronts in the history of war  and such but still.. its the same front. I was really hoping for a vietnam/ korea or pacific one.
Something new! We already experianced tigers, panthers and all those famous vechicles and now we are going to have them again but with better graphic. Maybe differant faction structures but the same kind of units. Well its based on real stuff so its hard to make new units I know. Thats why you take another war :P

Nope, the only thing that could make this better is if they decided that the germans can call in Maus or something immature dart vader death mobile unit :P

Well Company of heroes 2 will probably expand its western front factions, and add on with the soviets, and unlike the mod, it is adding new game play mechanics to make this mod and that game unique and independent of each other. I am getting CoH2, but i will still play the Eastern Front.

I am screaming with Joy! I am so happy this is coming out! This made my year.

I like how they are going the same way like they did in DOW2. Instead of releasing a sequeal with all the good things from the former game and much more new awesome stuff. They release a new game with new stuff but missing like 40% of the old stuff from the first game they can make expansions with ¨old¨ stuff and put it in the new game -__-

looks good, but you guys know, if it does take one step back, (aka, not as good as CoH) then i will still be playing this game and mod.

my biggest worry is atm that they will cancel the base buildings and change it to something more like men of war
i dont like the only call in shit^^

Edit: teching is an integral part of the game, and it is best when there are buildings to do it from. also, relic did such a good job with the previous buildings, such as seeing sparks from the tank buildings, the new units roll onto the field rather than just popping up, the flags waving in the wind, lights flashing, etc.

At least, the interesting thing is that CoH2 allow troop to jump through wall, so no lazy soldier any more.

They won't rip us off, but since they want to keep it similar to vCOH but improved...and they are making soviets...they're bound to have some similarities.
It also depends how much different the combat system becomes as they are talking a lot about 'realism'. It could be that (like the weather effects) they're enhancing 'troop moral' mechanics where as squad that takes too many casualties automatically retreats and so on...

Nope....its the same Pz4 model as in vCOH...not changed(no extra details and same down to the J type exhausts) apart from the colour scheme which is white :)

Which brings up the very interesting point of...can you import all vCOH models into COH2 so you can play the same vCOH in the Essence 3 engine? No need for re-modeling and re-animating what has already been created for COH?

Pretty much why I think Western Front mods will be everywhere. If Relic are just ripping assets from CoH1, nothing is stopping modders doing that either. It wouldn't surprise me if Relic simply barred CoH2 from modding altogether... might piss people off, but when it comes to expansion packs nobody will be complaining about Relic 'ripping off' modders, like some seem to be doing over EF.

The CoD, total war and other series kept same gameplay, add some shits and rise the video setting to a ridiculous level and people keep buying them anyway. I won't be surprised if people do the same thing with CoH 2.
I really hope CoH 2 will impress me but I'm fear it will not. Can't blame Relic though, CoH has a very good gameplay and it's very hard to improve something is already too good. Making a game is hard, making a (real good) sequel is even harder.
And I saw what happened with CoH's balance and patches too so I will wait until 2016 when I got another comp and save enough money to buy CoH 2 :P
Right now I will wait patiently as always (wait for the Ostheer first  8)).

There is indeed, entirely crowd funded...inXile raised nearly $3 million to produce it... and Obsidian are helping.

Its comments like the ones we are seeing now (other forums) that make me wonder if anyone is even aware of EF's presence. It would seem as though they aren't  :-\.
