The Tiger and his rewards :D

hi folks

i was thinking about the new tiger ace and tested him a few times, but i think the tiger ace doesn´t match with terror.

i think it would besser work if the devs would change the Tiger I reward skin (plz its a sensless reward so i think you can change it^^) for blitz with this tiger ace. the tiger ace gets no vet and is still a call in once in a game but therefore a bit faster than the normal tiger or you van take the normal tiger and call in again and again and... you know what i mean^^

and as reward für the kingtiger plz bring back the jagdtiger. its a monster and it works much better with terror than the ace.

so what does the community think about it?

Actually the Tiger Ace fits better with Terror than the KT does, which is why it was like that back in pre-OF times. It's fast and deadly, can strike at any time from the shadows and then disappear again. The universe is at peace now that the ace has returned to terror.

yeah thats the reason why i thought it would better works in blitz because its faster than the nomal tiger.

maybe i think so because i started coh with OF^^
so i never saw the "old" tiger ace ;-)
and for me terror was always the haviest tanks, firestorm and v1 to bring the terror to the front^^

I dont think black tiger is going anywere, the KT was near useless compared to this new ace

The only thing I wish could happen is to buff TA a bit, it's underpowered now. And what I'd give to hear it's original voice: " Let's show them the true meaning of terror"... this was sooooooo epic  :D

Nope, you (meaning from post #4 :P) derailed the topic to this :P...

The OP talks about the unfairness of the 3rd. reward unit of Wehr being only a skin change and wants to change it for the reward of the BK Tiger giving back the Jagdtiger to Terror.

Or if not some alternatives for a real 4th reward unit for Wehr could be discussed.

Discussion in two topics is very annoying. Blacky, please make something to this second topic to focus main brainstorm about TA here.

We have few proposals:
1. Increase stats
2. Give it camo ability ( to perform hit and run attacks, using TA high speed)
3. Give some auras to discourage enemy
4. ???


About 1. - actually I'm totally against actions like this, I'd rather see some cool ability :)
2. Camo sounds fun, having ghost-like uber-Tiger tank... better than a Panther from tank operation ( can't remember name)
3. Auras IMO would fit the best, because Tiger tank is mostly a breakthrough weapon, so it should have some "breaking-through" abilities.

1) King Tiger has no special abilities/auras,
2) People prefer TA to KT,
1+2= TA needs nothing. It's fine as it is.

so when you all think tiger ace should stay at terror what do you think we can do? jagdtiger as a replace of 88er in defense?

@ cep, we could open a thread about the issue on the balance board. I guess many would care, on both sides. Yep the ace definitly needs one.

What we can see in here is clearly that the Tiger ace did already what it should. Bring back the Terror to the terror doctrine. The reactions are quite obvious.

@ evil spike, to be honest, that idea doesnt sounds like a bad one. Although it would may a bit op without lots of modifications.

Imo Jagdtiger doesn't fits as 88's reward :-\.

The problem is that the Jagdtiger has a few places to replace, Rommel stated that won't be on Ostheer, also Wehr doesn't have anything that could be used, being the only choice Jagdpanther->Jagdtiger and bringing a different unit to Wehr as reward. ???

But PE already have filled it's four slots :-S... I hope there could be an exception for the JT.

Damn I was gonna say that Elefant-Jagdtiger would probably be the best spot for it being that they fill very similar roles.

Hopefully an exception can be made as it would be a shame to waste it just as it would have been a shame to waste the IS-3 model :\

mh and when we change the nashorn to wehrmacht defense and therefore jagdtiger as a reward for the jagdpanther?

Swim shouldn't count lol  The swim is the most pointless, piece of sh1t reward unit ever.  And I don't care what Snugz claims, the hotchkiss still sucks, and is considered another waste of a reward slot in my book  :D

If someone took out the swimwagon and put in the JT I wouldn't mind one bit.

Actually schwimwagen is quite fine. Has a few useful ablilites like Schorched Earth. Wehr Schwimwagen is total waste of useful reward unit  :-X

I never use the Wehr schwimm. I also agree it's pretty crap but some people swear by it.

The PE schwimm doesn't have SE anymore, it was OP. SE schwimms have incendiary mines now instead.
