I do have the latest patch and version COH (steam) but still can't play

I know,
There are already a lot of reports on this forum for people that can't play Soviet or Ostheer.
You need to have patch 2.700 for Coh (Steam) and version 2.2 of this mod.

I have both of them: Patch 2.700.2.22 to be exactly and version 2.2.10 of the EF mod.  And I do have a supported version (legal) of this game/ But still I can't play with the Ostheer or Soviet army. (Buttons doin't work)

I looked on this site, but I still can't find the answer. Do any of you have idea what else it can be?

thank you for the quick reply. I did not know the new Patch on steam made Eastern Front no longer work.

Well, if you bought the normal CoH games (Company of Heroes, Tales of Valor or Opposing Fronts) you have the old version that uses Quazal servers. So, you cannot play online anymore with those versions.  But you still can play skirmishes or games via network programs like tunngle. EF will work with this version  if you replace the factionfix.dll with one from EF 1.700.

Buuuuuut: If you bought a company of heroes on steam you should have "Company of Heroes (New Steam Version)" in your steam game library for download. That one also will work online, with automatch, custom lobbies etc. However, this version is incompatible to our modded files at the moment.

Thank you very much! I then some more stuff that I should clarify here that are important to me: I should update its Eastern Front to the latest version, or is it optional?
