Ok i played the normal Ef....it seems normal i played 20 mins than i won and when i was back in the menu the Game crashes....

Without the dump files and logs, I can't say if it is normal or not :).

Do you have your shader settings in High or Ultra? If you are using the latter, I recommend to switch to the former. I can't see anything wrong with your logs though, which means the only fix would be to wait until we optimize our stuff... however, I can see you have less than 4GB of RAM, that also makes your games to crash.

Im not sure about the shaders so ill have a look ... And yea the ram isnt there but the game's settings are optimized for my system ! But other than that what should i change my shaders to ??

well that didn't work  :( . I set the shaders to low and played a game and it seems as soon as my units have line of sight with the enemy it throws me out of the game .... Not sure what else it could be but i took care to actually check this time since i read it happened to some other guy in the forum ...... So what now ??

And also i play regular COH with the same settings as i did EF and it NEVER crashes ... Which leads me to wonder why it only happens with EF .....

Of course it will only happen while playing EF. CoH doesn't require as much resources as EF. Both are not even comparable resource-wise.

And one more thing, I hope you didn't install the compatibility patch for 2.602, because as explained in the download page, it only works for 2.602. If that was the case, you need to reinstall the last patch.

I must have misunderstood then because i did install the compatibility patch .... So what do i do from here ??
Could you help me out with a link to the appropriate patch ??

Follow these steps:
1) Go to your CoH relaunch folder. Where you have the latest CoH version that it is what you are running.
2) Go then to EF_Updates folder. Where all the updates are stored if you get them through the launcher.
3) Run EF_Setup([IP address redacted]).exe. If you find the file the instructions end here(go to step five), otherwise go to step four.
4) Download and run EF_Setup([IP address redacted]).exe from this page.
5) Have fun playing EF.

You didn't give the page where to download the ([IP address redacted]) patch !

Well theres the good news .... and then theres the bad news ...... All is now working BUT with the osheer artillary (placeable) and also ostheer paratroops (dont know their propper name) It shows a blue square instead of the unit and on it is written missing MRD or something .....

Now what do I do ??

Uninstall, remove the files and folders left and reinstall the mod. That means these files weren't copied in the mod folder, because as far as I know, they weren't changed lately.

EF [IP address redacted]

Don't have a crashes while playing clean Coh or Blitzkrieg mod.
EF crashes right after taking any point on the map. Already have tried to reinstal mod - but it hasn't helped at all.
Don't know what to do.

Try EF with the New Steam Version,  i think EF is not supported with 2.602

Playing on Angoville, Ostheer vs. British (Easy computer)
A Lancer squad saw enemy troops. Sturmpioneer was building
The crashes happen during every game (except one time ago)
Game mode: Annihilate, location random, resources standart
I reduced the graphics to minimum, but in normal CoH in full graphics
CoH (New Steam version): V. 2.700.2.30 EF: [IP address redacted] (but in the main screen on the game says [IP address redacted], even with the last patch manually installed). Same problem with "The Great War 1918" mod.

I downloaded EF finally yesterday (play the new steam version)
and every game around the time when enemy 1st shows I get disconnected
I tryed to follow these steps but the only update I found was    EF_Setup([IP address redacted])      ,
I do the download update when I start playing EF but can't find [IP address redacted]  file
where can I download [IP address redacted]?
please help

my eastern front mod keeps crashing when the map loads. sometimes it lasts for bout a min or 10 seconds but not more. i was playing anchoville river with me as the soviets and american hard vs 2 normal panzer ellite. i have my coh updated to 2.700 and fully updated my eastern front mod.

  1. Hold Windows Key and click R

  2. Enter "%Temp%" (without " " and with % %)

*What map were you playing?
*Which factions were involved?
*What were you doing when the crash occurred? Try to be as accurate as possible!
*Do the crashes happen during every or almost every game?
*What game mode were you playing?


Doing this helps us figure out the cause of the crashes easier, and fix them. Posts without any relevant information will be deleted.


One last thing I'd like to add as note: IF YOU ARE PLAYING THE NO-POP CAP MODE AND YOUR GAME CRASHES, YOU SHOULD NOT BE LOOKING FOR TECH SUPPORT FROM US, BECAUSE WE DO NOT GIVE SUPPORT FOR THAT VARIANT OF THE GAME.

That game-type was included due to popular demand, and since CoH Essence engine cannot support the stress of handling too many objects regardless if you use vanilla factions or not, specially if you are fighting against AI(regardless of faction) we can't do anything about it.



Also, it sounds like an issue you have because you installed the compatibility patch and you don't have CoH 2.602.

Well, I tried another fast skirmish against AI, on Gilroy Harbor (I meant to be fast  :P) Annihilation gamemode, me playing as Ostheer with PE ally vs SU and British (since no one would be recrewing guns), all the game running perfectly until I tried to re-crew an MG-34 with full squad of Landsers, and this is when the game crashed. I suppose the problem is already identified, but anyways I'll be uploading the fresh files along with the scarlog from my last online game that had the same crash (except that relic crash message didn't show up ???). Hope this helps.
