But that generates the problem that... that money won't be seeing any less fortunate people. Fundrasing isn't really an option when you aren't certain someone with already enough money in their pockets will end with that money instead.

And on an even darker downer... we should bet on how many people will off themselves this 21st... a thousand? ten thousand? thirty thousand people in the blink of an eye as the world effing watched? I don't know about you, but I really think we'll have an important decrease in population before this christmas...

Honestly I would just regard that as natural selection. I don't see why anyone would be stupid enough to off themselves on the day of the world's ending (supposedly) just because it has a chance of coming true. We have just as much chance of being hit by a huge piece of space debris any day of the year without governments telling us about it. What would killing yourself even matter if you're to die anyway?

All the End of the world talk is irrelevant. Heat Death will get the universe someday. Why should it impact your way of doing things. Perhaps if you become anxious about the predictions of experts in this regard you should consider the "end of the world" as metaphor. The day after you can start "Plan B" to change your own way of doing things, for the better.

This is the third time this year "the end of the World" has been scheduled. Some folks will never get the trains to run on time.

Well it looks like 2012 was a joke.  The only thing a bit strange yesterday was the lack of sunlight and more rain all day but other than that everything was perfectly normal.

It was super windy here :P

I can imagine how angry and poor those who bunkered down and made shelters were when they found out 2012 was a false theory.  From now on dont believe any world-ending theory anyone tells you from then on (unless there is a WW3 :P)

Well they can recycle their bunkers when the next apocalypse comes.
