Really guys? Fire Emblem anyone? I know its not popular in America or Europe but anyone who knows about strategy games should at least faintly know this.

Burro I'm only 16, so these thousand year old games are like those things my parents told me about but I have never seen before, like a Russian house without vodka :P

Damn these are some old ass video games. I have some old games but how do you get a picture of them ???. Besides a camera duh ::)

I search my mind for some obscure game I played on a Demo disk back in 1998 or something, find an image of it on Google, then post it up. I'm not anal enough to have kept all my old gaming disks intact, plus I don't even have my old consoles any more.

Mario and Street Fighter in the past when I was a kid with a Snes, but I cannot stand the contemporary versions. I played Tekken II but it bored me to tears, fighting games usually do. I've never owned or played a Final Fantasy game... watched my friend play his a few years ago (can't remember which ridiculous number), but I thought it was awful... turn base fighting? Seriously? Reserve that for Civilization games, not RPG's.

I didn't even grow up outside some Anime clique... all my best friends have loved Japanese Anime, the games, the culture ... I just found the more I was around it, the more I loathed it. The gaming gods haven't forsaken me, they've spared me the inanity. :P

I must sorta agree. I dont mind "japanse games" but I prefer FPS and RTS game. Its not that Im some trigger happy manic seeking death. I just find them more challenging and exciting. Rather than look for a god damn obscure code in the middle of a freakin village on an alien planet (this is a real game, ill upload it later)

The only RPGS I truly liked as a kid that was produced in Japan (in english final version) was the Dark Cloud series (Dark Chronicle in some countries). I really spent hours even days playing it and it was something really identified as a childhood classic. Dark Cloud 2 was in immense twist on the first in all aspects and I spent more time with that than the first. (Primarily cause of the more customizable weapons and world builder, I liked the story of #1 better)

Those would be my recommends for you Burro...but play the first one first. The stories are barely related (there are paintings and relics that are in both games that play a role) and the 2nd story is kinda corny in the beginning.

Looks like KKND (Krush, Kill 'N' Destroy)... never played it, I used to watch my cousin play it many moons ago, he was seriously into C&C and anything like it. Always remember the music being somewhat more awesome than C&C's.

Sticking with the strategy theme...

Japanese games are great :> But old ones too! Iam 20 so I dont really know if I belong at the old foxes XD I Played Wolfenstein3d when I was like 5-6? (I thought you were a criminal escaping from a prison shooting polices <3)

Populous the beginning. I remember cheating like crap on the PSX version but it was still fun as hell.

Real War? I believe it was the name of that game. I remember being bored ages ago and going through RTS games i'd never played, this happened to be one of them... but I never bothered to get it though, picked up Blitzkrieg instead :P

I also picked up this, but didn't enjoy it as much as I should have. Looking back, I may have to pick this game up again for the hell of it.

It was set in the Cold War, but I don't think the Allies had access to a Tiger. That said, I didn't play it too long before I got bored ;D

Actually, you're wrong. It was 'The Day After: Fight for Promised Land'... aka, 'Cuban Missile Crisis: The Aftermath'... it was essentially a stand alone expansion for Blitzkrieg I... ;D
