Which is better: Guards or Naval Infantry?

Guards appear to be a breakthrough infantry. Naval Infantry have changed in 1.5. They're heavy weapon specialists, but what are they for now? Are they still good infantry without upgrades?

A real SVT for the guards might as well be given. Why bother to give them a fake one anyways; just give them 4 mosins if youre not going to give the SL (which btw, that hat is fucking epic. Screams guards Sgt and I love the wee Guards badge and ribbon he has on his uniform) a real SVT! :P And no, im not kidding. What real harm would it do anyways (this coming from playing EiR mod where PGs get a free G43; its not game breaking).

it isn't. it's just the Mp40 upgrade for landser is stupid when you can make panzerfusiliers.

Its to denote a Command Position in the squad, would it really matter to you if one guy has an MP-40 or StG44. The more important thing is the other benefits it confers, they get Grenades, and personally I would also add in some Sprint for them.

I guess Navs and Guards are both good. But they both suck without upgrades, but Guards suffer more from not having Shock Guards than do Navs from not having DP28 or PTRD.

I never thought I would see my self say this, but without upgrades of any sort, but Naval Infantry are better. I just love Guards, but they don't suit me anymore, but at least Guards are balanced.

Navales are quiet good to defend from heavy cover without upgrades.
