First topic here and an Idea for a new mod

Hi everyone, I'm Curitibano and I'm a brazilian player of CoH and the Eastern Front Mod is one of my favorites. I'm finishing the University and my camp of studies is Military History.

I came here with an idea of a new tipe of modification for CoH. I know this mod is form the Eastern Front, but can you guys make a mod about the Brazilian Expeditionary Force? I know the basic about the Allied campaing at Italy, where the brazilians did fight.

If you want more informations about the participation of my country in the WW2 call me =D.

Sorry dude, but I don't know whether to troll or to take this serious. First of all, EF doesn't modify vanilla factions, means your Brazilian Expeditionary Force will have a hard time being implemented in this mod, they also don't seem to have played a major role in WW2 at all, I hadn't even heard of them until now.
So no trolling for today.
An advice in the end: Don't share your contact information with everyone, that could be death (spam, etc..). Tell the people to contact you via PM. ;)

Ok Ok, thanks for reply MaxiKing6... I was just curious about how the guys here work at modifing CoH... I don't know eneyone who know how modify a game... that's Why I came here... but thanks for the information =D... anything you want to know about the Brazilians at WW2 just talk to me =D

Maybe you could open a thread in the off topic/eastern front section and inform people about it, I would like to read about it.  :)

Oh boy.

Well asking for a group of 25,000 men to be included as a whole new faction is asking quite a lot. Brazillian troops, IIRC, was primarily composed of Naval and Airforce units, and most ground units were equipped with other allied equipment and tanks etc.

To be honest I always thought that the three main beligerents from each side should be included first before any other combatants were added, especially if they shared allied equipment.

The brazillians used American equipment...there's nothing extremely unique about them. It would just be reskinning already made infantry units...

This was already decided and will not be done by this mod. Balancing the Soviets and releasing the Ostheer is our main priority, not making an Italian front.

There was a mediterranean front in the works but was canceled.

Plus, Italian did nothing interesting anyway. Besides Retreat along the French Men. ;)

Actually the Italians lost more men in Africa than the Germans did. The Italians "Surrendered" after the allies stepped foot on the southern coast.

There was a large group of men (300,000+) that fought at stalingrad too.

Back on topic:I believe it's official that the Brazillians wouldn't be included so I think this can be locked.

If there's a new mod that comes out centered around the Italian campaign I'm sure Brazillians can be represented somehow.

There is a group of modders than are working on italians and frenchs, don't know if they are going to modify or replace vanilla factions.

the germans wouldnt have been as succesful or advanced nearly as far in any theatre of operation if it wasnt for the italians they were a keystone in southern europe and the miditteranean(yeah i butchered the spelling)
