Ha, Ha, Ha. Are you talking about me?

Do you guys seriously have that low of an opinion of me?

FYI, that guy really sucked so bad (he was actually green with only 2 matches ever under his belt and he told me he lost in an easy cpu skirmish). He also did not understand the term "victory point". He went off and did his own thing and so when your tanks rolled out... he did not even have one pak gun, any you would have seen were mine but obviously that isn't enough. Anyway, with a decent partner I reckon we would have had the initiative :D. You only won because you two worked better as a team (There).

I am so happy Red is back :). Thats the real reason for posting and to also say keep up the good work guys :D. I'll be pulling for all you.

Re: Eastern Front 2vs2 Tournament

I think vonklaus and I are almost ready to dominate this tournament. Our tactics have become a lot more "interesting."  Funny how we were known on coho, yet are sucking hind titties on this game. Thats ok, we are becoming formidable at the right time. I appreciate the low resouce games.... will keep me from lagging as bad and allow my partner and I to be more accurate with the grenades.

Afrer we beat killar, apeman and subglimz in subsequent matches, what type of prize do we get?  From you German's I would like 1-2 super fine german dimepiece strippers. From everyone else, money is fine.

Re: Eastern Front 2vs2 Tournament

I'll give $100 each to the winning team! (Taken from the losing team, of course. ;D)

Re: Eastern Front 2vs2 Tournament

Let's be fair here. Everyone elses chance on winning depends on how well (bad) my partner plays :P. JK

I'm really looking forward to some good organised matches.
If you get into an argument with me, you're wrong.

the list is not up to date, evilspike should update it. I'd also vote for Grodno to be added.

Re: Eastern Front 2vs2 Tournament

Where can we find out what map we are playing on for the first round?  My partner and I would like to practice that map a few times.

Re: Eastern Front 2vs2 Tournament

Can Maxiking and I play earlier than 8AM eastern? I have a plan to catch at 10AM and the airport is about an hour away

Re: Eastern Front 2vs2 Tournament

Yeah, it would be nice if the teams could decide on which map they'll be playing or at least to know which map is selected for the fight (I'm fine with every 2v2 map I think). Maybe evilspike could arrange this, I'd also like to practice.

You and your opponent decide the map you want to play. You could play all 3 rounds on Rails and Metal if you wanted to.

I like Grodno to be honest. I think dennis would agree but he likes Rails and Metal too.

Yeah, but i'll need the losers to give me their addresses, so i can go and take it off them. ;D

In all seriousness though, if Eastern Front wants to do a unreal tournament, i wouldn't mind offering prize money, but i have to know if the game is balanced enough first for that. From what i've been reading lately, it looks like the latest relic and Eastern Front patches are quite buggy, so i think it needs more polish first. ;)

Oh come on, buy yourself a new PC! Giving me the money (Which would be fantastic...need a new PC, could start my own fund) is less important than you getting yourself one ;)

I'm saving more or less $100-$200 a fortnight, and i still have a few hundred left over each fortnight, so i can spare it. ;)

How much time is left until the tournament starts, guys? I'm kind of disturbed by all the posts with different times.

It is impossible for me to play at 12 GMT. Our match must be moved earlier or later :( Again, I have to catch a plane and must be leaving for the airport by that time.

Also, the tournament will go for several rounds and several games per round. Could take awhile to get through everyone. So I take it you're out then :S.

Re: Eastern Front 2vs2 Tournament

if im not totaly wrong our match starts in ~ 4,5 hours

@Cranialwizard
I keep my fingers crossed that you find a way to play the match

if this would help everyone we can change the tournament to only the 2 matches a day and the next one is on the next day. then cranialwizards team had the chance to make thair match before the next will start

Re: Eastern Front 2vs2 Tournament

No, why not just have the 1st round span through saturday-sunday? That way anyone who can't play at the specific time can make it, and those who do advance into the new rounds can have some more time to prep?

I won't have any time to play today unless we start a match within the next 5 minutes and/or play late at night for my time, which won't fare well with other timezones. (GMT -5)

#73652

Re: Eastern Front 2vs2 Tournament

So.. tomorrow then? Which time?

I have a suggestion - what if we create teams/opponents who live in timezones which make starting a game at a good time easier? Maybe like a European round, an American round and an Australian round (doesn't have to be exactly this, just to prevent people of three entirely different time zones playing against each other/together).

Re: Eastern Front 2vs2 Tournament

Late night for your timezone is actually the middle of the day tomorrow for me and my partner. So are we happy with playing the first round over this weekend and having other rounds for the people who get through throughout the next week? I guess there's really no reason for us to have a speedy tournament :P. As long as we organise times that suit us where we can sit down and play 2-3 matches we can knock over this tourney in a couple days.

Ok, late night Eastern Time means early morning for me. That's strange but fits. I will go earlier to bed today then. I'm all right with that.
