Eastern Front 2vs2 Tournament

hi guys

I wanted to organize a new 2vs2 tournament.

The rules are simple:
VPs 500 with standard resources
Maps: DomPavlova, Lorraine , Kursk, Tannenberg, Rails & Metal, Wolfheze, Duclair and McGechaens War.

The replay must be uploaded from every game. If there is no replay its like a draw.

Fractions allowed:
Wehrmacht, Panzer Elite, USA, RMC, Classic Brits and Soviets
but only in this combination
axis: wehr/wehr; wehr/pe; pe/pe
allies: usa/usa; usa/classic brits; usa/rmc; usa/soviets; classic brits/classic brits; classic brits/rmc; soviets/soviets

Start will be the 3rd June 2011

So all players who want to play on this touney
please post your name and your mates name here.

but also single players can post. i try to find a partner for them but there is no guarantee that i will find someone.
but there is also the possibility that other "single" players can offer other "single" players to play together.

hope we will have fun and many players

I like the generali idea, and I'd like to partecipate (1.4 patch right?) but I take off from the list maps with stalemate points like Juterbog.  ;)

Why don't put Lorraine or another EF map?

yes the plan was starting the tournament after new coh patch and ef 1.40 patch^^

mh maybe your right. we replace juterbog with lorraine^^

I don't think a tourney right after 1.40, just in case their is bugs or devs forgot something. etc.

I find myself intrigued with this prospect...

May even join in with you lot, that is if I get around to getting coh back on my pc..  been too attached to gw anyway could use a change of pace.  :)

Perhaps we could even use my TS3 for this? feel free to do so for any match ups.

Why don't we play on the 4th which is a Saturday? Say 6pm GMT? Also, will the tourney be the standard best-of-3 format for tournaments? This means that each team plays allies and axis once, and if a decider is required, the teams with the best VP scores from the others get to choose their faction for the 3rd game. Round robin or knockout?

I think you should edit the first post. Its easier to get to.

My favourites:
I will pull for Sovereign and Seeme (yes spam them to death!)

I am going to pull for RedGuard and Cranialwizard. Good luck guys. Go for broke!

p.s. I wish I could participate but my times are unpredictable due to allocated usage. I'm hoping for some good replays!

Since there's 6 teams (meaning 3 will continue on in a knockout round) why not make it so the team that has the best VP scores of the losing teams has a second chance and comes back to make up the 4th team required for the semis?

Also, I assume by 12 you mean midday.

Thats alright with me. So 12 O Clock GMT would be 8:00 PM in Eastern Coast time, am I correct?

but in germany it bust be ~16 o´clock

Try AM Seeme. America will be morning, Europe will be afternoon, and East Asia/Australia will be late night. It's actually a good time to have it.

we need a later time, thats 8AM I think, for both me and Cranial.

Somebody call the whaaambulance. I got up at 5am to play the 1v1 EF tourney. If you want we can play our games early. It works out well because my partner may not be able to make it on time. Then you can get up a bit later for R2.

I would love to play at 5am its my preferred time, (wel no 3-4am would be) im actually up all night and the day isnt a good time for me im usually insanely busy during the day.

I have a final that day, maybe waking up in the morning for me won't be such a good idea. Think we can do it saturday or see if we can fit it in at around 4:00pm onward for eastern time?

If it remains at the current time it will be impossible for me to arrive as I will be sitting in a hot room with 2 pencils, paper, sweating due to nervousness and the heat, attempting to do extremely well for the sake of high marks. :P

Im going back to vanilla and no longer support this mod or the direction its being taken in.

To view the next patches balance changes were the final nail in the coffin for me.

OK Cranial, since Red's out, I will take his place and play with you for fun.  Just don't lag.

I'd also play with him if you don't want, we had some fun games together and I think that our style of play fits together in a certain way :P

Red stormed out because he and Ijoe got tired of the mod or something.(Ironic, they were both Soviet Lovers)

I'm fine with the 11th. My partner probably can't make it this week anyway. It also might give us time to put out a small balance/bugfix patch.

Snugz isn't here right now, so I didn't intend to play this tourney in the first place.  I just volunteered because Red left, but since Maxi's got your back everything's cool now.

Awesomeness ill be down for that weekend. Flgator and I should be good enough by then to be very competive. Ironically the day paladin posted his jive me and flgator put it to him and his random partner.I've been in Vegas all week so hopefully I haven't lost much missing playing for a week. Ill have a drink for everyone tonight! Vegas is awesome but im ready to get back to getting nightly beatdowns from killar and sublime.
