Unable to locate Company of Heroes directory

I have last patch of original copy of non steam company of heroes tales of valor, i cannot play because it says unable to find company of heroes,i tried reinstalling but still says the same.

Weird, looks like everything is as should be. In this case you can make a shorcut for EF and installing the patches manually if necessary.

I also cannot play mods that i made with corsix studio..

and the shortcut doesnt find the coh.exe when i add with this" -dev -mod Eastern_Front -nomovies"

it is like i cant play any mods

Other users have been fixed this problem using a shorcut, so, I'll help you creating a shorcut.

Could you post the target path from a shorcut you created using coh exe?

BTW, remember that the executable file of coh is RelicCoH.exe not CoH.exe

it is:"D:\Program Files\THQ\Company of Heroes\RelicCOH.exe"

Do you have the last version of CoH? If you don't have 2.601, any "recent" mod will run.

You installed EF on Company of Heroes folder? If not(and this extends being installed on any self-created folder on CoH path), uninstall and reinstall it on "D:\Program Files\THQ\Company of Heroes\".

Did your shorcut has this as target? "D:\Program Files\THQ\Company of Heroes\RelicCoH.exe" -dev -mod Eastern_Front -nomovies

If the answer to the last question is yes, what happens when you try to run it?

I cannot add this to my shortcut path:-dev -mod Eastern_Front -nomovies

why?

I also have the "Unable to find CoH directory" problem. I am using the steam version of CoH and I originally set the file to go to this path "C:\Program Files\THQ\Company of Heroes and my game is patched to the latest version but still it will not work when using the launcher. I attempted to also create a shortcut as some have suggested, using this directory path "C:\Program Files\THQ\Company of Heroes\RelicCoH.exe" -dev -mod Eastern_Front -nomovies
but it only led me to a file that held the RelicCoH.exe files.

Are you sure your shorcut has the correct path?

"C:\Program Files\THQ\Company of Heroes\RelicCoH.exe" -dev -mod Eastern_Front -nomovies

and not this:

"C:\Program Files\THQ\Company of Heroes\" -dev -mod Eastern_Front -nomovies

It says unavaible to do so i dont know why..

The exe is there... can you post an screenshot of you error?

Are you sure you write correctly the target?

With quotes like is shown above, white spaces between parameters(-dev, -mod, etc.) and with the hyphen before dev, mod and nomovies??

ok i added the path to target but with eastfront launcher still cannot locate company of heroes..:(

As far as I can see from the Blackbishop's last post, he gave you the line, you should insert into the RelicCoH.exe shortcut->properties->object line.
So first you need to create that shortcut.

That. You are going to create a new shorcut, using this line as target:

yes it works now but the launcher has the same error i don't know maybe i installed coh in D: directory..btw thanks for your help i finally can play axis vs soviets :P

This is happening to me also. I've followed the steps countless times today and I cannot get it to do anything more than pretend like its going to launch (spins like its trying to launch) then nothing happens. I've got the Steam version, 64-Bit Windows 7, so if someone has successfully created a shortcut, for the Steam version with 64-Bit Win.7, please, for the love of God, tell me what to do.

If your company of heroes path is the following:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Company of Heroes"

you can use the attached registry.

Thanks for the shortcut idea.It worked for me.I can play with the Soviets.The problem is,only in the challenge of Angoville.

I am open to any ideas!
