unable to locate COH directory

hi i read all posts tried everything and yet my Launcher says that there's no EF installed on my system and in settings i can't change my directory it's blank and whenever i change and apply it again it undo it then turns back to blank can you guys help me?

Do you have CoH on Steam?

Is the OS in your pc x86 or x64?

What is your Company of Heroes path/directory?

I've same issue,
I have retail coh which is installed to E:\Games\ToV
it is ToV. I installed EF to;
E:\Games
E:\Games\ToV
E:\Games\ToV\Company of Heroes
it couldnt find any of them, i tried to manually show at settigns didnt work.
x86 Xp Professional if helps.

Could you post a screenshot of your CoH directory on windows explorer?

and i guess i corrupt my reliccoh.exe.

Did you just dragged the files there or you actually installed them on that path?

Do you have an original version of CoH?

I installed them there,  version is 2.601

You should install them in the root of CoH directory, this is "E:\Games\ToV", since you have RelicCoH.exe there.

I wonder what happened to the OP ????

The same applies for you as well.

No i have dvd it's x32 w7 and it's the normal path c/program files/thq/coh

I've made clean installation, used patches and .reg that u gave me.
Loaded EF. says , appereantly is not installed and at settings Coh directory remais black even if i show.

Did you check the EF directory within the EF launcher settings?

if you mean Launcher/Settings/CoH Directory    Even if i show it immediately turns blank.

Try to create a shorcut like this:

"E:\Games\ToV\RelicCoH.exe" -dev -mod Eastern_Front -nomovies

And use it to play EF, hope that works.

Just open the shortcut's properties, find change icon, than, in the menu appeared, write the way to the EF launcher file. Simple as this.

I have same problem I am using dvd version of the game and i have all patches, 1.30 of ef, i have just Coh, i've opposingfronts too but it isnt installed.when i click to play it says "cannot find file location" when i press for check for updates it says "coh doesnt apear on your system" i have tried to change coh directory in the ef settings bu  Even if i change immediately turns blank. i also searched for your advice which is

    WHat is this? i find that location's folders and i dont understand what i should do? my coh directory is true also.

That registry key has a String value called "InstallLocation", it's value must be your current company of heroes directory. If has anything else or doesn't exists EF launcher will give an error.

Looks like you are missing an end quotation mark on InstallLocation string.

Or... you are not supposed to have a start quotation mark on the same one. Try adding in the end, then removing both.

Rizz is right, you need to remove the quotation mark from it... that value doesn't need it.

E:\Program Files (x86)\THQ\Company of Heroes this is the directory

and i use 64bits
i removed the marks but FAIL again :D i tried everything! and everyday i want to play it more :D but something is blocking me, if you can help me please keep trying, thank you :D

:-\... remove the last back-slash from the InstallLocation value and try again ???.

Could you post also the values of this path?

Looks like that key isn't needed anymore since 1.30 :-\... my bad.

Could you try to reinstall CoH? Are you using a pirate version?

nope its orginal version. i will reinstall coh and opposing, i dont have tales of valor maybe thats the reason?

Just reinstall OF. You don't need to install vCoH and then OF.
