Eastern Front 1.30 Patch

Eastern Front Fans,

The 1.30 Patch is a huge update. For starters our very own team member, Cope fixed the hardcoded bug known as "The Recrew Bug" or "Strawman Bug". This allows Soviet to Recrew Heavy Weapons, such as MGs, AT-guns and even the dangerous FlaK 88s.

Following up is another highly anticipated new features, the Royal Commandos Marine Brigade (RMC). The RMC is an optional "Reward Faction", activated like a reward unit and alters the tech tree and a lot of units in the Commonwealth Faction.  For more information on what it changes, please see the changelog, where detailed information about the RMC is available.

On top of these already large inclusions, we have also added some additional balance from the upcoming Company of Heroes Patch, done major balance changes to the Soviets and added some new maps. On top this, we have added a special new style of solo-play, The Red Tide/Blitzkrieg challenge. It's the first of hopefully many challenge. The idea of challenges comes from Company of Heroes Online, where Relic plans to add a lot of them.





While waiting for the release make sure you read the Changelog.

This is awesome. When I come home from school, I will take the Challenge.. I think Soviets will have to Suffer.

Can't await Brits. Playing the old ones was so boring and shitty. Probably a huge improvement that makes CW worth playing again.

And last.. Recrew bug. Now Sir Danko is able to use German equipment.. Ouch. Anyway, great work on this, Cope.

Noo, I have an exams during weekend:/ Probably I would flip a coin to decide about playing EF v1.3 or learning for tests:/

Awesome, the update is bigger I expected, which is good. I'll play it on the weekend.

In response to previous post, dude revise your backside off, you can play EF almost whenever whereas you can only study for you exam in the next few days. Refraining from EF might be painful but in this case, that short term pain may be a longer term gain.

Did you forget to increase the Tigers CP to 5 now when you ireduced the StuH CP from 3 to 2?

That Angoville challenge sounds great fun. Would it also be possible to implement in 4+ player maps?

I also lol'ed at the Annihilate - No pop cap stuff. Sadly Annihilate seems to be EFs favorite gamemode and now that one will take its place  ;)

1.30 went out after one year.... so for 2.0 we will wait about 3 years and 4 months if the progress won't change  ;)

I like your idea.  :) A lot  ;) But also consider that it took several years to even create the mod.  8)

why 3 years?
maybe patch 2.0 will come after patch 1.4, who knows  ;) no one said all numbers must be used :D
but it will take time because ASAIK EF still needs animators...

Just a quick question; does the ZIS gun use the soviet model now?

The only reason I dont use this gun is because I just cant imagine the american model in soviet hands... Its silly, but I dont want to take it, even if the other player keep pumping out tanks ;D
