Solution for no recrewing for ostheer

Since the ostheer will need recrewing to be successful they should replace the panzer elite. But dont we need panzer elite to make the game fun?Simple solution is to make PE a new faction since they dont need to recrew and they can get by without it. It would take some time in coding but is definiately worth it.

Well. When PE cant recrew any longer a doctrine like the Luftwaffen ( dont know the english name of the doctrine ;) )will be absolutely destroyed!

I personally hope that Relic will help the team
but this is a very little hope.

It would be a problem for the luftwaffer doctrine but maybe u could replace the flak 4x20 with wehrmatch bunkers and flak 88 with some kind of static pak with heaps of CREW HEALTH based off a 17 pounder. The point is you guys made an incredible mod but coh is just not the same without recrewing.

That would ruin Eastern Front's renown fame of keeping Company of Heroes Factions and Maps as are.

I would just like to see the PE and the British done away with personally, wouldn't it make it easier to add retreat and veteran with them gone? If we REALLY want them back, we could hold a poll.

Why should you complain? You get 5 men per upgraded mortar and AT squad, extra chances to reinforce >:)

I agree, but we had a poll and it said don't touch PE and Brit, so we shouldn't.

We've already had the Poll on this and other things. Its done and we'll act accordingly.
No need to discuss this further really.

Btw this isn't really a democracy. As Devs we do what we like, but we just like to know what people think and will some times go with what the majority wants  :D

If relic can't help us with this problem them prehaps the dev's could design the ostheer to have as little as possible or no heavy weapon guns and use other kinds of units.

Relic said they would look into it, but they are busy currently. I doubt any amount of letters will move them to help instantly, just be grateful they're even taking an interest!

As for the idea... its a bad one. One T-90 in the PE base and you can de-crew all their base defences ready for the infantry blob rush... and there would be no way to stop it. Flakverlings have awesome stopping power when dealing with Soviet infantry... something the PE need, so recrew is actually quite vital to PE despite then having limited crewable weapons.

Agreed that luftwaffe would be totally screwed by this option. Luftwaffe infantry are actually a pretty shit unit unless you use them to recrew. The advanced repair really isn't that good and they're crap in combat. But they fill that hole in PE that allows them to get enemy heavy weapons easily. Flakvierlings are really not used much but when they are they are usually quite powerful. Also 88s are the most powerful endgame luftwaffe contribution, as henschel is quite situational and munis are better spent on weapon upgrades and butterfly bombs. A significant part of the current luftwaffe tree is now useless. Replacing the existing factions is not a solution.

I think it is good that people like you take the time to try and come up with ideas that can solve some of the potential problems, it keeps the community alive.
As for the idea, I think you could play around it as PE, but I don't want the game to change the original factions, it goes against the idea of this patch, so I would have to say no.

But in the irritated sense I am always irritated about something, it just depends if it shows , the post that made me sound 'short' was simply that, a short post :)
