Latest Version: Game freezes and lag issues

I had lost my computer recently and replaced it with an alienware computer. However, once I bought CoH on steam and installed the EF mod, I have been experiencing issues with the game freezing on me, and lag issues up to former point. Now here is a list of things about my computer;

1: It can run the game (plays Vcoh just fine.)
2: I have to use windows 8 (don't know if this is causing issues with other players)
3: I bought Company of Heroes on Steam, and directed the install into the steam folder.
4: I did install the Ostheer Beta.

This is my 5th re-installation all things considered.

What could be causing the game to freeze forever on me, and how do I do a proper unistallation if it comes down to reinstalling?

Check if your Windows 8 version is 32 bits or 64 bits; if it is the former, that would explain it.

It is a 64 bit, not the 32 bit. I think that when i uninstalled, i didn't delete the EF files, and reinstalled. I'll try and unistall, delete the EF files, and reinstall and see if it works.

Everytime I play CoH on my laptop, if I choose to build a building, choose a doctrine, the game get a mini freeze. The freeze is longer if I play multiplayer.
