Suggestions for the British Reward Units

Hi there!

I know that you're top priority right now is to finish the Ostheer for 2.0 and that my suggestions are not guaranteed to come true, but I thought should just let you guys know my ideas.

The Black Prince Churchill/ Replaces the Churchill Crocodile
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Prince_(tank)
For starters I know this was a prototype tank and never made it into battle, so I know it has an even slimmer chance of making it into this game. I just thought it would be a cool idea because the British don't really have a really special heavy tank. I mean the germans have the tiger, king tiger, tiger ace, and tiger 205. Panzer Elite have the jagdpanther and jagdtiger. US have the Pershing. And Soviets have the IS3 or ISU 152. I know that since all the other factions have something doesn't mean the British should have it, but I thought it would be a cool idea.
I think the Black Prince should only be able to be called in once in the entire game, and should at least come out on top of a panther/Black Prince slugfest. It should also be inaccurate against infantry but pretty decent against tanks. This way it would be a nice replacement for the croc because the croc can take out infantry, be called out multiple times and in multiple numbers, and i feel like the churchill Mk IV is redundant if you have a churchill croc.

Archer tank destroyer/replaces 17 pounder AT gun
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archer_(tank_destroyer)
This most probably will not happen because it replaces the 17 pounder, but I thought it was an interesting thought. I feel like the RMC is a much more aggressive faction than the regular CW, so they should have a good long ranged tank because I feel like the Achilles is better at sneaking around and get pretty close to shoot. The Archer tank destroyer would basically be a british marder 3 and get even longer range with the Cromwell Command Tank. I know this could have many balancing issues and could mess up the original gameplay of the CW which the Eastern Front team has promised not to do. Also it probably won't be included because the Soviets have the SU-76 and the Archer would basically be a copy of this and the Marder III.  Since its mobile, powerful, and long ranged it would cost a lot more than the 17 pounder and only be available in the field support truck. Plus its armor must be pretty weak.

I know these two units have a very slim chance to get in because of the problems I have listed above, some gameplay issues, and the fact that no one has made models for these tanks. Thanks for reading all of this and please reply to what you think of these ideas.

I'll take 20.

Seriously though, it would be nice. I'm not a fan how the Brits are really the only faction that lack a heavy tank, I doubt it'd make it into the game being a prototype (Although this mod's not about 100% realism...).

Neat looking tank destroyer. But I doubt it'd make it in since replacing a static emplacement would be awkward, and the Achilles was kinda meant for this role. So it's chances are next to nothing.

Re: Suggestions for the British Reward Units

Centurion :P Got into Germany and it was fully working. Was sad it wasn't in the reward units.

I like the Black prince idea, but will love the Centurion as well. Although the Archer looks real nice, for some reason I can't explain, I just don't like it.

The Centurion would make more sense. But it's in a case like the IS-3, wasn't approved for mass production yet and didn't see any action (At least confirmed).

I feel the big deal breaker would be the lack of a model.

Re: Suggestions for the British Reward Units

Bring us the Centurion <3 The Crocodile is pretty useless sadly. Or if we really want a heavy tank in the samestyle as the KT and IS3. Bring on the A39 Tortoise!

Re: Suggestions for the British Reward Units

I thought since they were the British were going to have a new faction or planning on changing the up the set up of the British, I have always wondered where was Royal Naval Support?  As a British Naval Historian in Training, I would be happy to help plan out this out if everyone wants to have some new artillery and unit support.  Off map call ins would be the back bone of the Royal Naval Support.  Naval Gun bombardment would be short but devastating call in, doing heavy damage to all in its range.  Most people forget that the Royal Navy had aircraft carriers as well they were just very outdated compared to the United States and Japan.  A SwordFish bombing runs would be an effect call in strafing run, three bombers dropping a much heavier bomb in a runway style attack.  The downside to these planes is that they are slow, so they would be much easier targets for German anti-air, thus would be cheaper than the American bombing run.  A gained ability for the British would be the ability to "Hull down".  This would allow the British to prepare trenches with Bren Guns built into the trenches.  This is the welcome return of the trenches amid since the new Germans can build foxholes, might as well give some of the British a perk to counter.  As a call in unit, the 43rd Royal Marine Commandos were a fighting force not a behind enemy lines form of commando units.  They carried Thompson's, Enfields and used C3 and dynamite.  As for final abilities for each row as an offensive ability would be Naval support group.  This would be the British version of a American Off-map Support group and would have a randomized units.  The Defensive attack the British Royal Naval Support would have would be a a battleship buster, similar to the bombs that sank the Tirpitz.  This would be similar to the V1 strike, as it is expensive to use, but is no where near as devastating.  I hope this is a good outline of which the community could work on.

@Robo
DMz is the QC of Eastern Front, so you could ask him if your model is fine to be added. But it would be used for RMC only.
