DON'T PUT TO MUCH FAITH IN COH2

Ive played over 20 games in the alpha of coh2 and i know its only alpha but at the games core it is not going to be the same as coh 1. The game is about as different to coh 1 at its core as dawn of war 2 is, infact it is alot more like dawn of war then it is like coh 1. Honestly EF is ton more fun and is really what I expected coh 2 to be like, so don't hold out for coh 2 start playing EF whenever you get the chance. The OH can still come out next year and if the community really starts doing its bit (playing games, posting replays and posting about bugs/balance) we can have an awesome game that truly feels like what people would have expected coh 2 to be.

Also remember that the OH is likely to encourage a lot of new players to try the mod which could greatly increase the size of our community.

Don't put too much faith in EF, the recent shake-up has put this mod in danger  :-\. But enough of that for now.

I have yet to play CoH 2, although some Devs say it is fun.

Were not a profit-oriented company with financial problems; instead all of us are passionate players and do this because we love what we do, not because it's our job.
Don't worry about EF ;)

About CoH: It's fun indeed, as bishop said. Maybe me and some other alpha-players will post about it soon.

Ya, why not :P

OH has a lot of stuff in it that CoH2 won't... like, A LOT of stuff. Of course, CoH2 has the technical and graphical edge, but not by much... as much as does look nice, it's become a little too stylised over regular CoH. It's likely to be our next modding venture anyway despite it's foibles, although that doesn't mean we'll abandon EF.

XD, I' joking, I'd prefer a mod that adds in the Italian Front, quite honestly. Or maybe add in Africa plus Sandstorms to see how well my French Dromedaries deal with it... Whoops wrong game XD

With all the assets readily available for export in CoH1, the CoH2 mod scene will likely be saturated with 'Western Front' type mods. Not to mention Relic probably have something Western Fronty in the pipeline for use with Cold Tech and to please those who couldn't give a voles anus about the Soviets... Battle of the Bulge comes to mind.

I am pretty sure we will see an attempt at a korean war mod.

I'm sure they are trying to make some Western Front thing. I mean they saved the russian halftrack to Armies/Commonwealth in CoH2 so it probably shows hat they are already setting shared models.
