serious toubles with coh ef on steam=(((((

i was really looking forward to new patch(red October)....after i have downloaded it,installed etc.nothing happened....game is still with patch 1,6 or something.would appreciate any help....

I don't have steam but I have a similar problem like you do.  Where did you download btw?  I think you should go onto the launcher and download and patch your game from there.

You must have installed the patch into a different directory than your steam one.

You'll have to uninstall Eastern Front completely and make sure all files are cleaned up, then download the [IP address redacted] patch into your Steam Directory.

There really needs to be a change in the installer to make this a bit more clear.

Ok,now this is really f***d up...have uninstalled ef,downloaded it again,installed into the right directory yet still game detects it as version 2.6... and something...any ideas?

It sounds like registry file problem.

Try this way.
Use the attached file. It is a regestry file. After using it the launcher will "think" that your game is [IP address redacted]

BUT before using it You must update the game to 1.7.0.2.

OR if you have [IP address redacted] for example , open registry file (RMB-> edit option) with some text redactor like Notepad and change the line "DisplayVersion"= with the numbers of your version [IP address redacted]

well tried that ¸too-no succes.maybe it is cos i have uninstalled originally coh and coh of on steam,and currently have only coh tov?

well thats real crap...i guess i just wait for another patch cos i tried everything above and yet it still detect 2.6...=((((((

We'll alert blackbishop and he should set you straight. Please be very specific when you give us details from now on.

It shouldn't matter which COH version you have, as long as it's a legit copy of [IP address redacted]

after deleting maps with all coh related stuff,ef related stuff,redownloading ef and installing everything again it finally works=)))))))))))))))
