Should i get skyrim for PC?

I was wondering if i should get skyrim for my PC. I have for xbox and all the achievements and i did like everything. But with the mods it seems like i could do alot more. Should i get it or should i not?

Re: Should i get skyrim for PC?

Personally I play with a few mods and it's substantially better than the core game. Graphic enhancement mods and UI mods are the best since I think that's where Skyrim is really lacking. There's also some good mods that add new weapons and armour into the game, and remain balanced to the original. Probably not worth paying $60 for unless you really love Skyrim. You could torrent a PC version of Skyrim (seeing as how you've already paid for the xbox version).

Dawnguard is fun too. Not sure if you get it on xbox.

Yeah dawnguard  is on xbox too. The only problem with torrenting it is that im afraid of getting viruses, trojans and various other malicious problems downloaded to my computer

Re: Should i get skyrim for PC?

UI is user interface. The default Skyrim inventory screen is abhorrent and I was so happy to change it. It was made that way to work for the console ports but it's really just horrible for a PC user.

Torrenting is usually pretty safe if you use well known sites, popular downloads, and don't go too close to the back alleys of the internet. Your AV will sometimes get a false positive for a trojan hidden in your download but this is usually caused by a cracked .exe file (that lets you play without a CD) and is actually safe. Of course it's always a good idea to scan anything you just downloaded anyway.

However it is easier to mod with a Steam purchase of the game anyway.

Yeah i guess. Just still seems pretty risky  :P Also i don't think it would be to hard to mod with Nexus Mod Manager.
