I think WW3 will start if China and US fight.

If the China and US fight it will be a world war 3 because the NATO will join US and the COMMUNISTS will join China.

There aren't many Communist countries left and they aren't exactly eager to get into a war anytime soon. In fact I doubt China wants to fight anytime soon either. Its communist but its becoming more capitalists all the time.

Seriously, which communists will fight for China? Vietnam? North Korea? Venezuela? Cuba? Fucking none, nobody is gonna fight with/for China. If there will be a war, it's just another war, not a world war.
Most people didn't know what really happenned and still happen in South East Asia (including you, Furher). So they (yeah, still including you, Furher) should know that they don't know anything before they say something stupid.
Actually, he doesn't know shit when he said the "communists" will fight with China.

Come on dont be mean :P. He just stated an idea and wasnt biased/mean in any way. Not like he has preference over NATO or Communists. And its a reasonable enough question. Would China get into a war with US (cause we seem to be pissing them off with our intrusions) in the future? IF so would anyone join them (not necessarily commies)

We've had this discussion before plus its not a political forum, but if I may insert my two cents worth of rage.

Start Rant: As much as I would love to have us currently declare war on China and destroy the threat that is their growing military, we cannot. This is for the simple reason that they control our economy and make most of our products, be they toys, computer parts, silverware, etc.

Declaring war on them, in the hypothetical situation of them not controlling our economy will lead to nothing, as the Korean War has proven them to be strong fighters. They have many more soldiers than us, and quite like the Japanese of WWII they will not give up an inch of soil without savage fighting. Plus they know their terrain better than we do and would never attack us head-on anyway, as Sun-Tzu's Art of War (which is their Bible, along with the other 6 Military Classics of China) dictates to try and avoid open and direct conflict and work in the arts of subterfuge and sabotage. So it would be a waste of time with our current army to declare war on China.

My suggestion is let them attack first. Thus we will unite with patriotic fervor against the enemies of America and drive them the hell out, then, and only then could we justifiably attack mainland China with our troops because theirs will be dead or reservists.

End Very Proper and non-Rage-like Rant.

And Dann, North Korea may fight for China if they see that America is weakened enough. In that case they may invade the South due to the lack of American troops at the DMZ.

But yeah +1 vote for closing.

Fish, what Fuhrer (and much of the western world) don't realize is that Vietnam and India have had run ins in the past with China, that country claims parts of our territory as their own and has thus antagonised much of their neighbours, thus it is all alone. ( NK doesn't count :P ). About its fighting capabilities, you guys are too afraid about theoretical capability of the Chinese, they won't win in an all out war and they of all ppl know it. They initially won at Korea because of surprise attacks.

I'm very well aware of China's border issues, but my fear of China is that within the next 20 years they will have a more advanced military than the US. They have the numbers and with enough money they will have the technology. They are developing military tech on a scale not seen since the 1960s.

Their Navy is preparing to build new Aircraft Carriers (btw, that Indian aircraft carrier looked quite nice, the planned prototype), Cruisers, Destroyers, Subs, etc.

Their Airforce will have a large number of efficient and cheap Gen.5 Fighters soon, and no matter how fancy the F-22 and F-35 are, numbers have a certain advantage.

And Tankbuster, most of China's military success in Korea was really the result of American supply over-extension and sheer hordes of troops. Surprise attacks, other than their initial entrance into the war, had little to do with it. That was mainly a North Korean tactic as they had good terrain knowledge.
