Map Request: Player locations

Map Request: Player locations

As Cranial mentions, he likes to stop this jumping around of players between front sections. IMHO this makes absolutely sense. It would be very good to see on the weekly map the locations of all divisions/players, so that leaders can see, who can be contacted if somebody else dropped or is temporarily not available.
I don't know how often there were 'jumps' in the past/how big this issue is; but all players should be able control, whether somebody jumped/is allowed to take part in a fight or not.

Re: Map Request: Player locations

After this round I'll update the table...asking Maxi to put player locations on the map would be a pain in the rear and give him even more work to do.

Once the table is updated, it will be final, no one will be doing this jumping around bull anymore.

Re: Map Request: Player locations

Is that really this big deal? How many active players do we have left? 8-9 per side. If 50% of attacks are victories, you just have to relocate 4 people per week or am I wrong? As they have to be moved to the area, which has to get a new color, this may be done in one step.
But this is only me and I tend to see things to be simple....

Re: Map Request: Player locations

There are currently 12 Axis players active and 18 allied players active (from what Cranial said). So yeah, thats alot of ppl to account for.

Axis also need to get into the habit of announcing their retreat positions. I always keep track of where our people retreat to when the (rarely :D) have to.
If you get into an argument with me, you're wrong.

Hey, I think it's a good idea and if need be, I'll do it.

Re: Map Request: Player locations

It's a good idea, but a pain in the ass for our main artist in this tourney staff, Maxi, whom is already occupied as a Jack of All Trades in every other portion of EF development.

There's already a chart with all player locations on it, I know I'm not all that great at updating it but it can be organized in that fashion.

And yet again I say, no challenge! 8)

With one exception - I will go to Italy for two weeks on Friday, so I need someone else to update map and player positions.. Ape, would you be so kind?

if that's much less effort on your side, this will be fine as well (as long as you publish it together with the current map :))

Re: Map Request: Player locations

First of all I have to find someone to update the map while I'm away - adding player locations to the map is no problem at all.

I'll do it. Like I said three posts above.

Photoshop was used to create the map. I think it's just easier if we leave the map updates the Maxi. Player locations might messy the map up.

Re: Map Request: Player locations

Map Request: Remove 3v3s and 4v4s, its just an impossible task organising them on a weekly basis. Its also especially annoying when 5/6 players show up and the other doesn't so the game isn't played. I would accept capitals being 3v3s/4v4s.

Re: Map Request: Player locations

IMO it is best to play 2vs3 or  3vs4 ,when your teammate cant play at the time when the battle is set.
It is more honorable to play and give best you have than just skipping the match because someone's inactivity  :D

- sorry if my post is too much off topic.

This idea is a good one. I think I will begin to tone down on the 3v3s, however 4v4s in capitals will stay.

When teams attack capitals maybe there will be time extensions.
