Collecting militaria

Hi guys, I guess many people on this forum like myself is into military stuff and such. So I thought, lets make a thread were you can show of your militaria stuff :D
You maybe collect models, guns, uniforms ,cartridges or something like that :D

Show it off !

I have some nerf guns :P. Does that count? XD

I only have a story to contribute, I have a friend who like to collect military stuffs, he got US military stuffs like boots, helmet, night vision goggles, binocular, kevla vest and some bb guns like M4, USP, R700, G36C, shotgun... etc he's crazy about those stuffs.
When I visit his home I bring out his guns and try to fire those, but the fucking problem is they don't have the fucking bullets! I ask him where are all the bullets (the small round plastic pieces)? He said I don't need them I threw them out, then how you shoot these guns then? - I asked, he answered: I will fire them like pew pew guns then :P
I couldn't reply after he said that :-X

Yes, nerf guns count! ( aint that like really popular in the states?) I got a couple of bb guns myself. I mostly collect funny looking rare classic guns and dont play against others with them. However my well used stg44 is used in skirmishes. Latly however I have been using my cheap ass china made thompson m1a1 with drummag , its entire made of plastic and weigh nothing so you can wave it around Max Payne style.

Those chinese stuffs are cheap but they're also easy to break down. My first bb gun I gonna buy is a RPD or RPK with drum magazine and automatic fire airsoft version (sadly, if the police gonna find out they will take those kind of guns :-X).

Had an AK-74 and a double barrel shotgun from China. All broke down in a skirmish :P. Only my Glock 17 (German quality) is still working about two years now :P.

I had a bb MP40 but it broke  :-X. It still looks cool :D. I'll get a pic later

Anyone have grandpa/grandma's medals? My grandpa was a soldier and he had tons of them. I will try to find them show for you guys. And hey, show yours too! ;D

Yeah, the chinese one are in terrible quality. However they are often quite cheap and often the coolest looking ones ( mp40s, c96s and such.) If you prefer older weapons like me ;)

Doesnt have any medals. I got my grandfathers fathers hitlerjugend knife however. I get some pictures!

Miscellaneous items include 2 shotguns, one gas-chambered and one pump-action, a .30-30 Winchester, aaaaaaand 2 pairs of Milano Stilettos.

My grandfathers were born during the war so I don't have anything like medals for that seeing that Italy withdrew in 1943 and did not require men to fight anymore. (So no great-grandfathers either)

However a few of my great uncles that arrived in the states went to Vietnam to gain in return educational opportunities. (The top level in school for the village we descend from was 5th grade :o)

1923 Thompson SMG. It look so pretty  :D

Owning weapons has lots of silly stupid laws over here. If it's above a certain age it has to be registered, if it's below a certain age it has to be registered. It's also dependent on state, in New York it's illegal to carry most weaponry without getting certified in classes like Gun Safety etc.

Needless to say, I found loopholes. I don't keep my firearms in the state of New York.

Surprisingly, it's the Switchblades that could get me in the most trouble, lol (Possibly the .45 too but I dunno)

I think the most easiest way to own a large amount of weapons is create a movie company and register all those weapons as props, I think that's how the guy in FPSRussia own a full automatic G-18 with extended mag.

About those medals and ribbons should I make them all in 1 pic or what? How big a picture can be in a post?

They sure have a lot of old surplus US ammo, however, old gunpowder often doesnt work or in some cases can be kind of dangerous to use. They make new ammo as well :>

    Here is my grandpas fathers hitlerjugend knife, in terrible condition XD My father used it as a tool knife in our garage for many years until I took care of it . Thats why the swaztika emblen is gone and part of fingershield is gone.
He got the knife together with a letter from Hitler , well not personal written, it was massprinted and then signed by Adolf himself, something about a thank you for serving for the german during the great war 1914-1918. Sadly we dont have the letter . Probaly some of grandpas brothers or sisters familys has it. If I got to brag a little I think its cool to own a little piece of history :D

The M1 Garand's ammo is easy to find, but I typically don't buy my ammo from surplus stores. Most of the time you can find rounds for the firearms in general on Ebay.

I don't have to buy ammo often because I don't go to a range all that much.

I used to collect Soviet badges and patches, but I've lost them all besides a Guards badge I bought in Bulgaria. I visited a few gun shops in Bulgaria, there was one just opposite a Prison (of all places) which sold all sorts of old and new crap, Mosin's, PPSH's, even a Maxim m1910 priced at something like 500 levs (£200/$310). Unfortunately I don't posses a Bulgarian firearms licence so I couldn't exactly buy any of them, but I'll probably pick one up when I move there once I have no prior commitments, already have some land... a quiet little shed overlooking a Russian owned oil refinery... paradise really.  :P

Thats so cool IMO :P. I wish there was a small gun range near me :P. I am not violent or anything but I've always wanted to fire off one.

Anyone tried to fire a PKM from standing? I felt like the medic out of Bc2 and could finally proof that you can't hold a PKM at the clip :P! I didn't hit shit <.< btw.

I went to the shooting range in Switzerland with a couple of friends and shoot all kind of firearms (no static weapons). Also I shoot an PPSH in Belarus at "Stalins Line" (museum near Minsk).

Gun laws in Switzerland are pretty funny  :D

Because Bulgaria is awesome and insanely cheap, which is great for a tight arsed Scot like myself :P Plus, I invested in some land on the Black Sea before they joined the EU, so I'm probably going to have to build a Villa or try to sell the land at some point in the near future. Also, Bulgarian officials are easy and the Police don't bother you if you speak English ;)

Mmm, that's not entirely what I read, however you're spot on with the payment options.

Switzerland distributes a gun to every 9 people. The 10th person, instead of being given a gun, is given a Rocket-Propelled weapon of some type like a RPG. (Not exactly sure what they use there.)

Switzerland is actually a fairly safe country from what I hear. No, they forcibly deliver you a gun.

This is probably why Switzerland hasn't been in a bloody war since 1815 with France. They've remained neutral ever since, however are still home to the Swiss Guard whom fought for independent Italian nations until the 1860s...

We are OT but I have 1 last question. Does the Swiss Guard actually use Swiss army knifes?

The Swiss Guard are the guys in puffy pants that guard Vatican City. I dunno how many different attachments their poleaxes come with. :P

No, they don't use Swiss army knifes. Just SIG 550s ;D

I have a Soviet Flag, along with an SSh40, Peaked Officers Cap(Artillery) and a side cap (What conscripts wear in EF) Along with a 1970's issue Soviet Desert cap from the Afghan war.
