Re: [6] Zach Mckenna attacks #1 Beach assault

Alright, you made the wrong move. Last time I was cocky as hell, but now I have been tempered, plus I know this map. How about Saturday anytime from 17:00-19:00 GMT?

Awww, now I have to wait a week to put you out of your misery ;)

How could you know Beach assault better than Semois? Semois is among the top three 1v1 maps.

Re: [6] Zach Mckenna attacks #1 Beach assault

From what I remember, Semois is actually the oldest map in CoH. I'm pretty sure it was the first ever made, and therefore one of the first intially released with the beta/demo. I remember the demo had Semois and the com always spammed Stugs (ahh memories).
If you get into an argument with me, you're wrong.

Yep, Semois was the Demo map.

Re: [6] Zach Mckenna attacks #1 Beach assault

The first map ever made was Angoville. There was a interview with a relic dev about the early stages of coh and he showed pics of their matches on this map with poor graphics. Don´t have the linke anymore

Re: [6] Zach Mckenna attacks #1 Beach assault

I guess that would explain why they're played so much :P

IIRC, there are 2 tigers in the loading screen of Angoville (scary :P) and maybe we are off-topic here

Re: [6] Zach Mckenna attacks #1 Beach assault

I reason I know beach assault better, is that when I usually play Semois, its with the Wehrmacht, not the PE. But I know how to turn Beach assautl into a killing field with the PE.  8)

Re: [6] Zach Mckenna attacks #1 Beach assault

You talk a good game, I'll give you that, It's going to make my victory all the more satisfying. I'll go easy on you I promise. Do you want to give me a challenge for our game? like a triple vet Jeep or something, I got a double vet Jeep in our last game so shouldn't be too hard this time.

You do know I only have to win once right.

Zach Mckenna, just a heads up, I will set the game up as this;
Name: Ef tourney battle for sector 1
password: utah
Also, do you need 3 straight victories or just best of 3, as I see on the map thread it is considered a stacked battle.

3 straight victories IIRC

See Cranial? Now they demand it must be a 3 STRAIGHT VICTORIES! This time you should tell me to "calm down" and I think I should tell you: "I told you so".

Re: [6] Zach Mckenna attacks #1 Beach assault

We are Allies, so they need 3 straight victories. We need only 1 victory to secure the sector. However, I think this should've only applied to D-Day and not for subsequent rounds.

Nah the rules clearly state that these territories are stacked to stop allies getting steam rolled, they serve that function.

They're like the territories around Berlin and Vienna, which also have the same function.

This. "D-Day" or "Beach Sectors" apply to sectors #1 or #2, where allies always have the advantage. It's been the rules written like this. If there is an appeal to make them best of three then do so.

You, the Axis, need 3 straight victories to win.

Calm down. You're constantly trying to make a big deal out of things that are not a big deal.

Re: [6] Zach Mckenna attacks #1 Beach assault

May I suggest a compromise? The zones in mention will only remain stacked terretories for X amount of turns. If the Allies are still stuck on the beaches after a long war they sure haven't been pushing hard enough, and that should come at a prize.
#123963

Re: [6] Zach Mckenna attacks #1 Beach assault

Realistic and historically speaking, if they are stuck there for like 6-8 months (which is like 4 weeks EF tourney time) then they are probably going to die :P. But as for tourney rules, its up to you guys to debate it.

Re: [6] Zach Mckenna attacks #1 Beach assault

Zach Mckenna won with a staggering 1-0, since this was stacked matched and I lost the first battle. Anyway, I need to practice with PE, or see about a change of uniform. :/

Or just remove stacked territories entirely, for both sides.

It's impossible for the attacker to win on them anyway.

Stacked Territories are designed to prevent steamrolling armies from entering capitals instantly.

This was what has previously been suggested and I figured that once the Allies took over both beach sectors that they are no longer stacked, however I never wrote an "Official" rule for that.
