Towing Weapons With Truck?

How come in any of the COHs they have not given any army the ability to tow weapons around the battle field, like anti tank guns, artillery guns or rocket launchers? In Eastern Front they could use the Zis-5 truck to tow anti tank guns and artillery guns to different locations.

If there's no Towed weapons, there probably a good reason for it. One reason I can think of is the predicament of crewing and uncrewing weapons. I for one wouldn't want a gun crew floating with the gun as its being towed along.

CDV did it quite well in blitzkrieg

I have played Blitzkrieg 2 and it was great being able to move your artillery pieces and anti tank guns quickly from point A to point B. In Blitzkrieg 2 the gun crew simply got into the truck that was towing their gun.

Its a pain getting an antitank gun across an Large or Extra Large map. It would take 5 minutes for to guys to push it into location and sometimes the gun gets there to late, when a truck would only take a minute to get there and the gun would be set up and ready for the enemy.

Sounds like a cool idea, but I bet making the animations for such a task would take a while and be some what difficult.

technically its possible to mod that, but as EF is only an
expansion for Vanilla CoH, I think we are not going to implement that because it would give the Soviet faction
an advantage that neither faction has. Wouldnt be fair. ;)

Towing heavy weapons is an unneeded layer of additional micro management with little effectiveness.
