2012 UEFA European Football Championship

The UEFA European Football Championship has began! ;D
I wonder EF's people from EU think or do about this championship. I hope it's not the reason the Axis abandon  their posts and watch some (interesting) football/soccer matches :P

Re: 2012 UEFA European Football Championship

FORZA AZZURI.

Italy and Spain will come out of Group C. Hoping for a Spain upset in Round 1, because Spain at this point is a more popular team than Italy.

Italy will crush Croatia, but Ireland can pull an upset if Buffon throws his back and Balotelli flips out on a ref again  :D

Serie A, B, C, etc....

Italian soccer is a rotten sport.

Re: 2012 UEFA European Football Championship

Seriously, I will still support Italy team even with those scandals. With all mafia's shits, corruptions and economic failings, they still can make a good national team and a pretty good series A is a miracle! The only thing make me sad is those Italian players' names are not catchy anymore.  :P
My main support is for Denmark though and I also like Holland team, except their "turn a stadium into a bloody fighting arena" in last Worldcup final.  :-X

Re: 2012 UEFA European Football Championship

Ehehehe, well the internal soccer is corrupt. Our team is the best of the best, no?

I root for them amid the fixation. Everything is fixed. Everybody does it :P

Re: 2012 UEFA European Football Championship

Germany's group is quite a hard nut to crack. It includes the Netherlands, Portugal and Denmark - I'm really looking forward to some exciting games. Today's the first German one, guys: Germany vs. Portugal.
Surprisingly it takes place in Lemberg ;D

Also I'm interested in how Italy will play (you know, some of their players were arrested a few weeks before the Championship started because of corruption) and how the match Poland vs. Russia will be like..

Group A, my money is on Portugal and Holland. Germany and Denmark are also extremely powerful but Holland is a powerhouse and did well in 2010. Portugal and Germany are neck and neck though.

Re: 2012 UEFA European Football Championship

Now now, the groups not over yet.

I actually haven't had an in-depth look at Denmark nor Germany's team, though I know Germany is a powerful team overall.

Holland will definitely make it out. It's a showdown between Germany and Portugal. If Denmark beats Portugal they could very well be leaving Group A alive.

And I will be upset xD

Italy better make it out of Group C or my family will go crazy!

Not necessarily. Italy has played Spain previously so they know what they're up against and have adjusted their lineup accordingly, where as Spain has played the same way throughout the whole tourney.

Italy was a huge underdog against Germany 30:70. Look what happened.
Italy was an underdog to England 40:60. Look what happened.

I don't understand why most people feel that the Italian team is not on par with the rest or "Unworthy". They've been regarded as underdogs even against silly matches such as Italy VS Ireland. The Azzuri has a fine team this year and with the granted Amnesty for the Quarterfinal cards Italy doesn't have to worry about missing matches etc. Italy's midfield (Pirlo and De Rossi) is spectacular as they don't whine and cry when they get pushed around or they lose the ball. Balotelli and Cassano have a dual-pronged attack of doom that is exceptional on returns. I feel that Spain fears the Italians because they know that the Azzuri can play neck and neck.

Mario Balotelli, he's quite good at what he does but a crazy guy and immature.

He's from Ghana but his parents were in Italy when he was born and he was adopted by Italians...close enough :P

Not because our team was "Bad" or that "Spain is the greatest", because our coach made dumbfuck moves. He used all substitutions by the 55th minute, took out Montolivo whom was fine and Cassano whom was doing fine, put in Motta who already complained about Hamstring injuries and put in Chiellini who was already hurt. Once Motta was hauled away after an infamous 2 minutes of play there was nothing they could do.

Italy had their chance and the coach blew it for them.

Re: 2012 UEFA European Football Championship

In the final, he changing players EXACTLY like in the quarter-final, bring in Di Natalie, Motta to change Cassano and Montolivo, while Balotelli and Abate should be those who need to go out.
The Spain clearly learned the Italy strat while the Italia didn't, both did great but the Spain clearly did better.

I will lock this soon, post all you need to post.
