[4] JB and Glimz attacks #2 (Point Du Hoc) (Axis Defeat)

I bet you never expected us to come on the 5th of June....

Myself (JB) and Zach will be the liberators today, the axis commanders will decide which two players will act as cannon fodder.

Saturday 21:00 hours GMT is the time that suits myself and Zach.

Anything else, em......oh yeah. Form a nice orderly line in front of the machine gun and this will run nice and smoothly ;)

Unless told otherwise, I will repel your puny invasion. BTW, what factions are you guys, Brits, US, what? However, I need a ally to come aid in the defense of Point Du Hoc. And it will be our machinegewhers, our artillery, our Panzers that will send you guys across the channel back onto your pathetic isles.

One commander from the mighty British common wealth, who might I add has two past times : Storming beaches and killing Huns (JB, if you couldn't have guessed) and the Infamous Zach Mckenna from the sleeping giant (US).

I feel sorry for you Panzer, I really do.

I most likely will be given orders to defend sector 1, so I won't be facing you probably.  :-\ But next time, I will control the battlefield.

We will Cranial, as you know we lost Snugz and I was absent 2 weeks, trying to get some guys for the games. I hope we can make the games soon enough.

You have enough people I think. Just gotta get to them. At this point games are viable but I would basically declare a lot of these as forfeits and territory ceded to the allies.

No you won't. If you do that noone will have any wish or motivation to continue this campaign. We can't call their home or cell phones, we made a topic waiting for the answers. If not there's nothing we can do and I guess your party will not be so happy to get free zones without playing.

Well the thing is Riggs, the allies have made their attack orders, and the axis did not make defense attacks to the orders so I really don't have much of a choice.

I understand Snug disappeared and it was really his job to get people organized, that's why I've picked up the deadline until 10 hours from now. There's just not enough freaking time to order a defence and figure out times within the last 24 hours before the round ends.

It's just how it works. It's in the rules. If the attack team post and the defending team can't come up with a defense in the deadline time then the attacking team wins. It also works the other way around. If the defenders get settled in and the attackers show up then the attackers lose by default and don't win any territory.

I'm sorry if it sounds harsh but this is the way it has to be. I will add the players for axis reserve to your team but there needs to be a rally call of some sort to wake them up. The axis do a pretty good job of getting their attacks together but the reason the allies posted 10(!) attack orders this week is because we planned the invasion starting at the beginning of round 3.

I have denied territory to the allies on numerous occasions. I feel I am being as neutral as possible here. I'm adding 4 reserves if they respond to my PMs to your team.

We made a rally call but the thing is; your players are mostly active players all the time in mumble or ingame, ours not. And the axis attack was made by Snugz, me, Yauz, Dzerzian, Simuz, Drokslit etc. to the eastern front. Now we can't take those people to west and the reserves are absent.

I think how you bend the rules many times, you may wait a little longer too.

Or if it's not a problem for you, we can do the game now me & Panzer4life will defend Sector 2.

Panzer4life has already fought and defended sector #1.

When I do change the rules I often give a round wait and allow the axis to take advantage of the rules first, like the one that allows sectors #3, #4, and #9 get to be attacked. Your team took advantage of this rule LAST round as well.

Again, If you guys have some inactive players, seriously, let me know and I'll go look for them. If I can't find them after hunting them and telling them "Look you signed up you in or you out?" then I can remove them and add fresh reserves ready for combat...

Things need to be open with me in order to actually run this. I need to know what's going on. This whole thing probably could have been avoided earlier if I still had access to the Axis internal because then I would have noticed that Snug was inactive much, much earlier in the week.

I can't just allow the Axis to defend all the territories by not actually defending them. Sorry.

No technically he said he would finish this round and then abandon the competition, I only said remove his name now because I assumed this round was over anyway.

Myself and Zach posted this attack 4 days ago, there was no attempt by the axis team to negotiate the time. The time where myself and Zach were available has passed and Zach can no longer play. If cranial did find a replacement for Zach and the axis got their act together, played the game and won I'd honestly feel cheated because the rules are pretty much being bent back on themselves. So no, I personally think the allies should capture the territory they deserve by default.

Having said that, I can understand how the axis may feel like there is no point in continuing, seen as by the look of things they're going to loose about 7 territories (possibly more), but the fact of the matter is the game is far from over, possibly weeks left. There is nothing stopping the axis from pushing us back next round, as long as you're committed and play well.

It would be poor sportsmanship to quit this game early, as Yauz would say "Weak willed, people you really don't want on your team".

I suggest a gap week, if needed, for axis to rally their team and get organised. Either that or a territory compromise.

A gap week will likely be added after this round. However this game will be played. Allies only need to win 1/3 games.

Are you sure? I swear it sayes in the rules "by a certain time". So technically unless the axis loose all their territory they still have a chance to recover and push back for the win.

Btw, when it says 80% that doesn't really give a clear indication of how many territories, is there any chance you could show this on the map of Europe.
