Help me to improve my coh experiance! ( skins <3)

I have played coh since its release 2006 and about 2-3 years ago I started playing EF. I only play EF this days, even when I play matches without russians because this mod have great maps and reward units and such. But ofc its fun to play with soviets too. And when it happen I like this little.. what should we say, unrealistic matches? With Soviet fighting side by side with the british in France for example. Some people goes bananas over how unrealistic that is but for me. Its just fun, its a game.

Its like when we were kids and played nobody gave a rats ass if you were Spiderman teaming up with sailor moon ( stfu thats show is awesome) to fight off Darth Vader and Bowser.

I like to .. Improve my game a little. I want it to be more of this extreme battles. The soviet naval infantry is one of the coolest units in the game just because they are so unique in its appearance.
_{Those guys are pretty neat also because they actually fought in their sailor uniforms IRL}

So to finally come to the question. Do you guys minding helping me found this awesome skins to make my units looks more.. unique :3

I fought it was finally time to start using skins. Never done if before, but hey you gotta try at least! :D

I want GERMAN naval infantry ( those guys actually existed.. reward unit please?<3) or italian soldiers instead of my volksgrenadiers!

Don cossacks or Handschars as my Panzer grenadiers! :D

Gurkhas instead of tommies!

This is certainly something I've never heard b4. Props for........originality (not sure what to call it XD).

You are a good artist. Maybe you could draw some samples :P

I don't think any of what you've suggested exist outside of dead, unreleased mods... if they exist at all. Some of them would probably require new models, hats, gear etc which is outside most skinners expertise.

Alright. Thanks so far! :D Is it eeasy to make skins yourself? Would it be possible to take like, the soviets naval infantry, copy their model and put in as volksgrenadiers, and then paint it to look like german naval infantry? Like you said making models is hard and in that case you already have the sailor cap. I wouldnt do it without permission ofc, this is just in question form atm :>

Yes, you can copy the object with all its skins and make it buildable for Germans with Corsix Mod Studio. You may want to reskin it though so it looks like they wear German uniforms  :)

Alright. I never done skins before, if you except for the sims sim edition or what is what called XD. There you could paint on your old skins to make new ones. You painted on them in pictures were they dress was all put up in like a big screen. You saw the enire skin, from the front,side,front, above. I dont know how to describe it, I tried to make a simpel picture of it . Hopelly somebody know what Iam talking about :> My question, can you do it the same way but with coh?

Basicly the only way to "texture" models in 3d is to "Unwrap the UVW map" which is a little complicated to do. If you want to edit the vCoH check this:
