Count me out. I don't think I'd be much of a help for the axis team and I'll be always busy with the weekly map update so yeah. Makes it more balanced player count wise at least.

Im sure your help would be appreciated on the Axis side ;D. But GL on your maps :D. We couldn't have an EF tourney w/o EF maps to go along with it ;)

Well the map will be constantly changing (as in per day). Not an astronomically hard task but I would imagine still takes some time :P

Hey, since I notice my computer lags under games with more than the usual 1v1s, can I still remain in this tournament and fight for the 1v1 maps?

Well, the fights will take place during the whole week, so on Sundays or later, the map will be updated so you guys can see the results of your fighting :)

Here's a first render of the TGPW map - so you can imagine how it'll look like. I still need to split the map into territories though.



Note: This version is just 1/4 of the original map size (4800*2700).

How far will Germany be when this tourney kicks off? Will they be right on top of Stalingrad or will they still have to commence Operation: Barbarossa ???? I just want a general idea :P

Not trying to sound like an elitist douche, but IMO if the current list of players stays the same, then I think Germany can safely pull off a Barbarossa.  If we let Germany start right off at the gates of Stalingrad, I doubt the tourney will last more than 2 turns lol

There is a stack up method. As you (Axis) come closer to your objective, you will have to win consecutive battles in order to win. (This increases the chances to lose an attack)

This will occur when you are close to your objective. (Berlin, Stalingrad, Moscow, perhaps others)

I'm gonna complete the rules list once my exams are over.

Well seeing how I caused the imbalance issue I will switch to allies.

If no one else joins in a rush for Axis I can just switch over and make it even.

What time is it going to be? It turns out this sunday is mothers day here in the US. Might be busy during the afternoon US Central Time.

It runs for the whole week, every week. All games need to be completed by Saturday each week I think so they results can be collected and we make our Sunday update. Then, the next round begins. Everyone will probably need to sign in on the first day, when the forums come up and orders will be given out. Also, everyone needs to be familiiar with the rules.

I'm confident we'll take Stalingrad in the most optimal time possible.

Win/Lose conditions have been slightly altered on the official.

Besides, rushing isn't so much of a viable tactic. You've got to think strategically. What if you rush for Stalingrad, but get caught with your pants down half-way there while the allies rush into Berlin? You can't suddenly hop back to defend your capital.

I want to change my division name into 88th "Bandit" Rifle Division :P

I was just thinking maybe we could have a steam group for each faction so each side could have its own "private" briefing room. Posting orders and the such.

Signups are always available :) But if you sign up on-time then you won't be delayed access.

I'm only a Moderator in this particular board, so it's more of a managerial position in the tournament rather than a moderator's position.
