Operation: Panzerkrieg - EF style

When you play Operation Panzerkrieg can you chose the option to use T-34s? Or any SU tanks for that matter?

If not can a Operation Panzerkrieg be made (in the future) that has Ostheer tanks + Wher(or something else, just filling in a gap) tanks vs SU tanks + RMC tanks :P

I think I'd be a cool idea. And we could either use or make a special EF map for this. No, I cant make any of this myself (I wish I could) but its just a suggestion  :P

We already discussed this gamemode ages back.

Oh well I honestly wasn't aware of this. Im assuming this wasn't agreed on.

But are you willing to convene again and reconsider? Im not saying this should be done now. But can it be taken into consideration?

Re: Operation: Panzerkrieg - EF style

I wake up and see this.

T-34s please.

Please reconsider it. On the other hand it would be better if it were taken up after Ostheer.

Re: Operation: Panzerkrieg - EF style

When I say "we", I don't mean the balance or dev team. I mean the community had a thread going somewhere around here didn't they? We were discussing all sorts of operations, like Tiger Hunt and EF themed Panzerkrieg.

Re: Operation: Panzerkrieg - EF style

I would honestly like more operations like Tiger Hunt. But for now lets focus on a Operation thats already been made + established + has good working rules and make it more SU like ;D

As for units, maybe there can be Comet(or M10 achilles or SU-85), T-34, and T-70(or some other light armor) for Allies and Panzer III, Jagdpanzer IV, and some other Axis tank :P. I dont know all the Ostheer tanks thats why ;D

Well I think a Tiger would be OP. Unless SU gets IS-2, IS-3, or ISU-152  :P

Re: Operation: Panzerkrieg - EF style

Matchup:

T34-KV1-IS2

VS

Panzer IV-Jagdpanzer IV-Tiger?

Re: Operation: Panzerkrieg - EF style

If you want a SPG on the German side, you have to have also one on Soviet side:

T-34/76 - SU-76 - IS-2

              vs.

Panzer IV - Marder III - Tiger (Panther)

Re: Operation: Panzerkrieg - EF style

You could give SU a KV-1 and allow them to upgrade to KV-85. Just like the Sherman can in regular Panzerkrieg  :P

Re: Operation: Panzerkrieg - EF style

I haven't played a whole lot of Panzerkrieg, but wouldn't it perhaps be better to go for the SU-100 and a Jagdpanzer IV so that the SPGs actually have a chance at taking out the heavier tanks?

Re: Operation: Panzerkrieg - EF style

Why not give it an overhaul, like:

5 factions: Wehrmacht, Panzer Elite, Commonwealth, United States and USSR.

Then each faction have 5 tanks each:

Wehrmacht:
Tiger (or heck, even king tiger! It will be easy out maneuvered by light tanks, and very slow. Gives a lot of VPs when destroyed)
Panzer IV
Panther? - Stug? - Other?

PE:
Panther? - Jagdpanther?
Hotchkiss
Hetzer

British:
Cromwell? - Stuart?
Firefly
Churchill

United states:
Hellcat
Sherman
Perhing? - M10?

USSR:
T34
IS-2 - SPG?
SPG? - Light tank?

And then the 6 abilities to each. The current panzerkrieg is good, but there just isn't that many tanks. And maybe a new map.

Re: Operation: Panzerkrieg - EF style

Keep the orignal but add 1 Soviet and 1 Ostheer to the existing gamemode + maybe a new map.

Soviet: T34

Ostheer: Tiger

Re: Operation: Panzerkrieg - EF style

Because one tank have one doctrine each. And you can only have 3 doctrines - hardcoded.

Re: Operation: Panzerkrieg - EF style

Yes you can only have 3 doctrines... In these case there are only 3 tanks so it's full :/

#Snugz - youa re a dane i see :) Hej! - godt nytår!

#Others: I think the only way to solve this, it to give the game mode a huge overhaul.. But that wouldnt be a bad thing :)
Look at my post some lines above ^

Re: Operation: Panzerkrieg - EF style

There is no problem actually. It's currently like this: There is one tank of each Commonwealth (Churchill) and Panzer Elite (Hotchkiss), and two for Wehrmacht (Panzer IV, Panther) and the Allies (Hellcat, Sherman). If we would exchange one of the Wehrmacht's/Allies' tanks by a Ostheer/Soviet tank, there is one tank for each faction.
You could easily exchange the Panther by an Ostheer Tiger (or Panther, but wouldn't make perfect sense) and the Sherman by a T-34/76, it can be upgunned like a Sherman (or Hellcat by a T-34/85).

Lets make a new Panzerkreig raather than changing 2 tanks

SU:
T-34 with option to get 85mm upgrade
IS-2 but some stats may need to be changed
SU-85 or T-70(with powerful upgrades for the T-70)

Ostheer:
Panzer IV
Tiger (with reduced stats ofc)
Stug III or Panzer III
