Correct flag

Hi all!

I know this is a small thing. But anyways. I noticed you were using this pattern of the flag in the game:

Actually the flag they used (1923-1955) was this:

... and what's the difference?

The hammer + sickle look a bit shrunk.

Alexander no offense but do you know what "Dipfeleschisser (german/badisch)" is?

Well the flag does look different. But this mod and coh in general is not to show history in detail. As long as the flag is recognizable as soviets then its good.

The difference from the one they use is the sickle goes farther in the top, the hammer stick goes slightly above the hammer,l and the sickle on blade on the bottom goes past the handle on the back.

Hammer and sickle is too small on the ingame flags anyway. I'd be in favour of dropping the 'national' flag in favour of something a little more CoH, like the Star in a circle for the US, RAF style Roundel for the Brits, Iron Cross warflag for the Germans. I'd probably use a variation of the Red Army flag with a small hammer and sickle in the centre.

A common allied logo for COH seems to be the circle around the symbol. I'd say put the soviet Sickle and Hammer inside of a circle or star in the middle of the flag tbh

This is the concept I was speaking of. Maybe add a little star on the cross inbetween the sickle/hammer

I was thinking of something like this, a simple variation of the Red Army flag

We don't need to change the little way-point flags, they'll do fine ;)

I like Burro's one.

Do we have to change it at all?

It will be more historically accurate AND you won't have to sacrifice balance. Extremely rare in this game.

To be honest, I've always had a gripe with the flags in game. It's one of those small cosmetic changes that would only take a few minutes to correct that we've neglected since release. We don't need to change it, no... but for the sake of a polished looking mod, it should be.

well, i might as well throw in my opinion, even though it most likely is not historically acurate at all, it gets points in the "looks like a beast" catergory.

Flag it is a relic. It is protected from year to year, therefore it is no wonder that it old. ;)

IDK, people die before they let their nation's flag come to harm. In that case a brand new squad running around with a old and tattered flag they are supposed to be protecting with lives seems kinda strange.

Unless? In other case if the flag comes into the hands of the enemy, group to which posesses a flag - disband. Or not so? ::)

Probably not researched yet.. ;)

There is still suppose to be a box for them IIRC. It just doesnt let u build them b/c it says u need to reasearch Sturmoive Ingenery (excuse my spelling)

lol... it was never my intention to force Burro to change the flags and I could did it on the Dev section :P. Yes, it was a spoiler in every sense of the name :P.

The spoiler(or somewhat a spoiler) is that the Sturminove Ingenery used to be built from the HQ. Now they are not and have probably either been moved to another building , removed from gameplay, or possibly placed into a doctrine tree (which IMO isnt such a bad idea)

And being a small spoiler means that is no spoiler ::). There are two spoilers on that pic, just that both represent very small changes and the second one doesn't say too much of what really occurred to that unit :P.

Yes but any spoiler we (everyone that doesnt have access to ur patch) can get is nice

And is the spoiler that the SU now starts of with more reasources b/c the building now cost more reasources ???

What's the 2nd one?

1st: Sturmotive hve been changed (not 100% sure what the change was)

2nd:SU buildings now cost fuel as Yauz's idea has been implemented :P
