Battlefield 3

Being as this game came out yesterday, I would like to hear what you guys think about the game. This can be based on trailers, owning the game, or just what you have read or heard. I am a big battlefield fan and I think this is the year that it beats the heavyweight, Call of Duty.
I know I am not the only person tired of the ten year old quick-scopers with mics that ruin the experience for me. Have fun with it. ;)

CoD was an amazing series up until CoD 4 & WaW. After that, these Modern Warfare clones are boring and noob. Battlefield 3 all the way!

Oh don't start with battlefield 3 now :P. I'm at school and bf3 is installed and ready on my computer at home  :-\.

If everyone don't kick a guy with 200+ ping then I will sure BF3 will be my next FPS. Since CoD Blackop ridiculous weapons' system and bullshit stories, that series are doomed. Of course, I don't use the computer I play CoH to play BF3 :P. But I chose the last option in the poll :( can I vote again?

Always been a massive fan of Battlefield, not the Bad Company franchise that much, but actual Battlefield. I have Battlefield 3 on pre-order, should be here tomorrow (us Yurpeens have to wait a few extra days)... I did play the Beta though and it was awesome regardless of the bugs.

EF needs a BF3 clan :P I got tired of playing on my lonesome, none of my friends are getting this for PC because they're all nubs.

Bah, mines hasn't even been dispatched yet and I ordered from Amazon too. Amazon.de must be less anal than .co.uk about sticking to release dates.

Not that i'm complaining tbh, it's good I don't have BF3 currently otherwise I would be getting NO Uni work finished :-X

Not quite too many, I've been playing it on my old (from 2008) rig and I can play the game with high settings. My friends newer (2010) rig has some problems with it though, he complains about tons of crashes, so for once the oldies have a slight advantage.

I do agree we need an EF clan, we should get our own server (perhaps dip into Pariahs $500 :P) and make tourneys and other fun things perhaps a vehicle only match where we can only use Tanks or Jets something like that.

That money is strictly for server purchase for the website from what I gather.

anyways, back to the topic; battlefield is totally better, and i even play battlefield play for free because i love the game so much. BF all the way.

Well it is technically a server, just for the communities 2nd most liked/played game.

BATTLEFIELD FTW been playing since Battlefield 1942 and I will forever play Battlefield, even in the afterlife.

Battlefield 3! Rocks! Played every battlefield expect the console ones (Bad Company 1, Battlefield: Modern Combat, Battlefield 1942).

Suprisingly, Im not a fan of either. I actually bought homefront and section 8 on amazon the other day over those 2.

if you got Homefront for the PC then you made a good investment, its quite a decent game, but like most modern shooters a tad infested with snipers. Never bothered with Section 8 I hate anything that even mildly reminds me of Halo.

But I would seriously recommend Battlefield 3 I just finished a game, and in my experience a good game takes a good 30 mins of your life, so its quite thrilling to watch the battlefield around you disintegrate.

Now if only they made all the doors breakable and give me my overwatch positions in places where I don't have to sneak past 50 armed asshats with AK-74s and survive only by the lucky chance that I too am an Assault troop and have a Med-Kit on me.

Why don't you like Halo ???. I mean I find it interesting but not necessarily a fan :P.

And BF3 has a campaign ???. I thought it was just for multiplayer ;D. Like BF2 :P

It even has coop missions :p.
