Re crewing enemy weapons as Russians

I cannot seem to recrew weapons.

Is there a glitch? I have only tried with conscripts. Is that the issue?

Conscripts, Command Squad and Tank Hunters can't recrew for balance and aesthetic reasons. Strelky are the best recrewers in the game though.

I thought TH could re crew ??? Why cant they ???

I guess because you get weapon crews with AT rifles then.
