What you hate/what you like

what is your favorite part about the Soviets? what parts do you hate?

for me i like the variety of tanks that you can field and the mass numbers of infantry

i very much dislike the munitions upkeep because it limits the russians ability to upgrade the units through the battle

munitions upkeep because i can never really use mines ever!and i always wanted to use the urban strat abilitys. My fav part is tankhunters and the CS. tankhunters are cool no matter how much u nerf them 8) 8)

What I love about soviets is Guards and Command Squad. What I dislike is that they don't have NKVD conscripts anymore.

1.31 USSR > 1.51 USSR in preference
1.51 USSR > 1.31 USSR in balance

Like: Diversity You have acess to all buildings and there sre many units to fill variuos roles. Conscripts are cappers and strelky are main infantry. And sniper ace ;D

Dislike: Free abilites like anti tank grenades or free guards grenade. It just doesn't make sense. Every other faction must pay initial cost and usage cost, not soviets >:(

Like: Diversity in units. Strong all game round. Very diverse and viable build orders. Great doctrines.

Dislike: Infantry don't "soft counter" anything, like rifles have stickies for example. Instead they have different types of niche units that are good at their job but have to work with other unit types. Also, Soviet munitions expenditure is a big one.

Like: Strong tanks, cheap-reenforce infantry.  This basically spells WIN.

Dislike: Their connection with Communism.  Don't get my wrong, I don't like that racist Fascist bullshit either.  And also, their vast numbers remind me of rats.  In every game, I prefer to play the "few and the proud faction" instead.

I dont like however that they dont really have any downside.

Great tanks, great infantri, great artilleri, they are all good XD
At least one of these have to be nerfed big time. At the moment they are like the best of all factions into one XD

Like: Partisans, anyone who plays a game with me will know it ;D (Though I don't do that on 2v2s or 1v1s.)

Dislike: That there's so many troops, its had to find cover with all of them and they die.

I like Strelky with Banner  ;D and ISU-152 is just pure awesomness.

What I do not like: all-roundity ( lol, grammar) of Soviet faction. They have everything that other factions have. Bulidable arty like brits, bulidable heavy tanks like Wehr, 2nd retreat point like Brits. Some of soviet abilities are... well, strange, like digging in Zis, or giving TH mines and AT grenades while they have already pretty good AT weapons. And I hate 7-8 men squads. It's so fucking hard to find cover for those low heaalth strelky behind wall. Also some of sounds soviet weapons make are too loud and some of them sound strange.

i like alot of things about the faction actually, there's a seperate niche for most of their units as opposed to the "jack of all trades" units you might get from werhmacht or riflemen.
the soviet doctrines seem more polished than the vanilla ones.
the new maps are welcome of course, i particularly like Kalach and lemburg. Flare ability is really useful along with red tide and tank riders are my favourite doctrinal abilities.

I dislike, well the large unit numbers mean the large 7-8 man squads are a bit tricky to find decent cover for. the urban combat doctrine still seems the lesser of the three doctrines available. the new emplacement for propaganda doctrine (76mm) isn't that effective against anything, due to it's innaccuracy sadly.
GOW seems a bit powerful, given it's huge radius of fire dropping it near the enemy base isn't that difficult.

like- the heavy tanks the soviets have, axis commanders will have to watch what they do with their armor and micro their tanks more when playing against a soviet player.

dislike- removal of conscript vet and NKVD conscripts, muntions upkeep making soviet upgrades and munitions based abilities unable to be used late game

Like: at first you are scared by the pure sight of any HMG,but therefore your smile is even larger when your IS-2s crush the enemy base ;)

Don't like: molotov cocktail. no matter what cover you have,they throw 2,3 molotows (since they're nearly free) and burn everything out of the cover. and vehicles just get BBQed too,even a panther will have problems when beeing hit by 6 molotows

too much artillery!: well,let's see, we have 3 stalins' organs,one or even two howitzeremplacements and while we're at it let's send in two uprgraded mortar squads too. there is NOTHING you can do against that. send in tanks and shit,they get blasted by katyushas and mortars,while howitzers blow your base to oblivion -.-

Don't forget the almighty GOW and I2-L airstrikeS :P

Like: Upgraded infantry (Gaurds, Strelky, CS)
Dislike: No NKVD.

I only dislike 2 things:
1st is the lack of non combat abilities like radio detectors, muni salvage, vampire halftracks,
2nd is the lack of constript vet. They dont have to get rifles from it but they should earn something.

that's a shame, i mean i liked the commissars and their ability to remove suppression after shooting a squad member.
