Still havings problems with start up

I have the steam version of CoH. When i try to play it gives me a message "mod is up to date" and wont start. I installed it into the correct directory and after reading other posts, i have made it so CoH doest check for updates or anything. I am so confused why it wont work

Could you post screenshots of your Company of Heroes directory?

Could you sort them in a way it shows all the files & folders?

Btw, remember to double check if in your launcher settings, in CoH Directory option, you have the correct path.

ok i found CoHlauncher but i dont know if this is what you are referring to

What COHLauncher has to do with the EF Launcher ????

Do you use EF launcher to run EF? You only need to go to settings menu and check the option labeled CoH Directory.

i did check the settings in the EF start up menu, i selected the file i thought the CoH directory was. Can you tell me the exact name of the file i am supposed to select? Is it supposed to be the one with the CoHluancher?

the directory i've selected currently is program files(86)>steam>steamapps>common>companyofheroes.

what sub folder/file must it be?

If you have c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\company of heroes as CoH Directory in the launcher, that will suffice.

ok that fixed it but once i click play the luancher minimizes but nothing happens

That's the problem of posting only parts of the directory files/folder instead of all of them.

You didn't install the Full Version, do you? the incremental patches(small size installers) are only if you already have EF not if it's the first time you get it. It's size it's nearly 1GB.

You should uninstall EF, reinstall the full version and that all (let's hope :)).

it worked! i uninstalled it and then clicked on the stalin picture, downloaded that one and now i can play it! Maybe it wasnt working before becuase i downloaded the 1.5 installer from the news page last time. But thanks for putting me on the right track!
