MG34 - Tank guns Sound

I've noticed that the MG34 of the German Tanks, except Tiger's MG sound different. There're aslo tank guns that they doesn't sound the same as the ones that would be found in other tanks with the similar guns. Wouldn't be better if they sound the same?

Yoy have played to much other realistic mods to CoH, haven't you? Anyway i think that all weapon sounds suck in this game. Changes?? Well this is job for devs, who don't want change vanilla stuff.

Anyway, the little machine guns mounted in the tank hulls do indeed sound pathetic, but the damage they do is pathetic, so it's apt. ;)

Doesnet the tanks in COH have mg42 ? ( When they should have mg34.)
And then I mean both antiaircraft mg and the tanks ones.

So they sound like the mg42s in the game? (which imo is great)

AA MG? Since when can tanks fight aircraft?

But yep, the box-shaped cooling jacket tells it's a 42, not a 34.

What i was meant is hull and coaxial MGs and since there is a MG 34 sound file for Tiger it would be nice to sound like it. Tanks too the sound files exist something that you'll find in COH directory.

The MG42 was developed as a cheaper production model from the MG34. The MG34 was used in most German vehicles until very late in the war because the old mounting was more effective for mounting in vehicles. I believe the MG42 required less maintenance for infantry use as well. There shouldn't be much if any different effectiveness in either model. Seems to me the same sound for the same weapon makes sense, but maybe you need to know what type of unit is firing for situational awareness.

I didnt know what to call it XD So i called it a AA mg because in the manuals of my plastic tiger modells. Its called the AA mg XD

Also respond to Otto. The old mounting thing is correct yes. However, the mg42 is famous for its tremendous high rate of fire (which make a terrofying sound.) Up to about 1200 per minute . The old working horse mg34 however only goes up to 800-900 bullets per minute.

It should also be noted that the tanks mg34 were differant than the ones the infantry had. A panzer modell. I dont its Not much differant except a bag on the side to pick up all the ejecting shells and less air holes in the barrel.(please correct me If Iam wrong!)

But now now. You are surely right you too ^^. But we have to remember this is a game. IRL weapons except some have special noises. They mostly sound the same XD But now this is a game and we nerds want to hear differant sounds for differant weapons ;D

All the top machine guns on those tanks : like M4 Sherman and Hellcat were designed to fire at Aircraft "hence their size", Now you know why the MG on the Sherman rapes infantry like no tomorrow :P
