To use or not use non ef reward units?

I've been wondering about using non ef reward units. In my opinion, almost none of them are useful. The only ones I use and like are the Tiger 205 and British T17.

Wow :o...

T17 = No vet for CW tanks.
Tiger 205 = Only a skin change :-\.

Re: To use or not use non ef reward units?

m18 hellcat you have to use when playing PE - its the better choice
t17 is also almost designed exclsively to deal with PE, I wont say its the better choice though

G-wagon used to be OP now its nerfed, stug was buffed it has better armor than p4's and shermans and is faster now

bike better than schwimm
ketten vs schwimm depends on which doc you use - statistically they're the same
Soviet is OP

+1

On Gr.org someone makes a video where we can see that the Swimmwagen is a little better than Kettenkrad, because your enemy can't see what doctrine you've choosed since when you use the Swimm ability on front of him or he hit the traps.

Really? I thought it still provides vet... :-\

Most of the reward units i find to be better than the units they replace...
- Hellcat has a secondary gunner upgrade and can ambush.
- Schwimmwagens don't have a movement speed penalty when travelling over water.
- Hotchkiss has a Stuka upgrade.
- American T17 has a fantastic rate of fire and can stun vehicles with white phosphorus.

But some of them aren't...
- "205" Tiger is just a skin.
- Geschützwagen seems to have much less armor than the StuGIV, although it does get a secondary gunner by default. And it can use some focus firing ability or something like that, but i never really used it...
- Kangaroo Carrier is a worthless piece of shit. What good is buying that thing when you can't even afford fucking infantry to put in it?!
- I always preferred the Staghound over the Command Tank, because it's smaller, quicker, and actually has some effectiveness in combat. But now blackbishop tells me that it doesn't provide veterancy...

The functionality of the reward units, though, is what really pisses me off, even more than the Kangaroo...

British Tanks and Veichles take veterancy with Cromwell Command Tank, like LT. and Capitain. ;)

I don't really like the concept with the tanks. It means the command tank is a HUGE target with limited armor.

I know. I believe it says in the tool-tip of the Staghound that it gives veterancy bonuses, but i can't remember since it's been so long since i've played, especially as Brits.

Re: To use or not use non ef reward units?

Really? Looks like I'm changing my reward units then. I don't use 205 since I read last patch that the EF devs made it more expensive

How is the new Nash for PE?

I use the IS-3 but I don't use the KV's. I just think it'd make more sense to have a force of T-38's than KV's. As well as the fact I suspect KV's have a disadvantage versus tanks.

Oops didn't read title.

By the contrary, we made Tiger 205 cheaper as vCoH cost ::). Are you sure you read the changelog correctly? :P

No it was before 1.4.
