I get an "unknown version installed already" (error code 10244) when i try to update my 2.601 to 2.602 CoH.

You have a cracked version of CoH, do you?

there are video game shops, but none of those i had visited have CoH, makes me really sad...

Shops normally don't carry COH anymore since it's a 5 year old game. They'd rather carry newer games because more people hear about them because of the advertising they get.

Buy it off of Amazon or Steam. Very Cheap, Steam often has it for around 6-10$ for TOV.

will i need all three coh's so i can get to 2.602? or tov alone will do? pls enlighten me.

For play online you need only one of the 3 CoH.
Update is automatic when you open the game.

I'll map it out for you.

You only need one version to play COH online, it's your choice:
(EF is compatible with any version.)

CoH: Adds Wehrmacht and Americans. Has Normandy Campaign.

CoH: Opposing Fronts: Adds British 2nd Army and Panzer Elite. Adds 2 campaigns, respective to each faction

CoH: Tales of Valor: Adds all 4 factions. Comes with 3 campaigns, and reward units for the 4 factions.

Tales of Valor is probably the best deal out of the options because you are getting essentially COH and COH:OF in the same package, just without the campaigns they come with.

There are also other versions available:

CoH:Game of the Year-This is just vCoH (American + Wehrmacht) with a fancy box art. If you're low on cash I wouldn't buy this, assuming you don't get it from steam.

CoH:Gold Edition-This is vCoH and CoH:OF combined. You get the campaigns from both games and all 4 factions. Unlike ToV though, you don't get reward units.

Really? I was pretty sure Gold came with just OF and vCoh

Amazon will give you the disk and will mail it to you. Steam will allow you to download and install off the interwebs (Right?)

That's correct. However the only thing you install is the programs needed for CoH such as redistributable packages and directx routines. Once the game is downloaded is ready to be run.

Gold Edition only comes with vCoH and OF. The Anthology comes with the three titles.
