Re: [1.4] Launcher issue

Hi there, nice to be on the forum of this fantastic mod!
One issue I have found with 1.4, and quite a big one, is as soon as I start the launcher, it freezes and says the program has stopped working straight away!
I've had almost every version before and they worked flawlessly until I updated :(
Any ideas?

I've got the same problem, the weird thing is that it was working fine yesterday and this morning, now its suddenly started doing this. I've tried reinstalling but it didn't fix it. I've looked in the launcher log file and it says:

"27/05/2011 16:25:17 : MESSAGE : Creating update thread...
27/05/2011 16:25:17 : MESSAGE : Updated thread started.
27/05/2011 16:25:17 : MESSAGE : Gathering update information...
27/05/2011 16:25:17 : ERROR : The remote server returned an error: (503) Server Unavailable."

So it looks like a problem at their end.

Ah, that stopped it. Just incase anyone needs to know how to do it, turn off your internet, launch the game, the launcher will display a message saying you need the internet to use this feature or something, then just go into settings and uncheck auto update.

Or just edit the EFlauncher config file in your install directory. Something like autoupdate=true, set to false.
