Old photo

I don't remember who, but some months ago someone here ask me about a photo where a very young kid (13/14 years old) appears with the uniform of Volksgrenadier during the Operation Market Garden.

Initially I couldn't find the photo, but now here you are.

I remember young boys such as him being AA gun helpers (since 1944). Maybe that's why he was there.

Yes, it is.

At the end of the war Germany had it's draft taking boys as young as 14-15 and as old as 58 (IIRC). They were desperate.

There are things dumber than killing - its dying.

They seem to be captured. We got the sherman and two GI infront of them. So maybe if we are lucky he is just a kid who dressed up in a uniform? ;D *No, I know.*

Its really sad with using children as soldiers. I hope he survived the captivity and grew up and became a comedian or something and made people happy ;D
