I haven't seen it so I assume it not in the game but it would be great if I could pick up some of the awesome Soviet arms for the Axis players. Its not fair that conscripts can pick up the lmg42 but I can't pick up an antitank rifle or a PPHs.

Yeah, that will be implemented on the next update. DP-28s and PTRD-41s will be droppable. But don't expect they drop PPSH or any other smg. There is not a single faction that drops them.

Unfortunately smgs don't drop. Though it would be fun, if they did, but not as an individual weapon - rather a number of weapon slots, like 5/6/7, depending on the squad, that dropped it.

No. There are dropped SMGs in the campaigns, namely the MP44 in certain Airborne and PE missions.

Personally I don't think finding a PRTD would help to kill those Russian tanks. :-X
