Anyone Know Final CoH Patch Release Date?

Does anyone know when Relic will release the final patch for CoH? Even a rough estimate is okay.

Also, any word on CoH 2? Since this will be their last patch, they must be working on it. I can't see them stopping this series when the first CoH won like 6 GOTY awards.

I do hope they don't make a sequel... Just saying is all.

Why wouldn't you want a sequel? It could have a better engine, better mod support, new factions, levels, gameplay changes?

There is very little that could be improved. Like with StarCraft back in the day, there is absolutely no need for a sequel. Granted, it's possible there could be some massive breakthrough in gameplay design to hugely improve the game, but that's highly unlikely. Company Of Heroes is fine how it is.

because of what happened to the DoW series. the sequel killed it and it sucked hard

Plus I don't feel like getting another one  (Hard to get stuff thwn you miles from a CD store) Then it will suck, I will go to CoH1, no one will play it, EF will be even more empty then it is, and it would suck.

I ask often in the gamereplays chatroom but they dont know it too.

Maybe the relic plp dont know it either.

I kind of see what you all mean, the game is great how it is, but I don't like the "if it's not broke, don't fix it" approach. Imagine if the lightbulb was never improved from Edison's first. It worked but CFLs, LEDS, and even recent incandescents are a hell of a lot better.

They could also move from WWII to maybe Vietnam, or a modern day one. People may be working on mods to make the game like that, but official games have more polish, except this mod which is good enough to be an official expansion (it still has bugs but it adds two factions and is very well done).
