STEAM Gold Edition + EF Language Problem

first of all: great mod

best coh mod out there, but theres a huge problem that really sucks: cant change the language from english to german in any way. already tried to change the Locale.ini into german and changing the steam overlay language from ger to en or en to ger, tried a thousand times to verify game cache but nothing helped. i already installed coh a few months ago and had the same problem. when changing the locale.ini theres the well known "no range" bug. i solved the whole language problem somehow with replacing files, but cant remember how...would you help me putting this game expierence into german language?

You meant the Game's language right?



I changed that from spanish to english and worked :).

Well, the first CoH game i had on steam was ToV, and it worked. Are you sure you enabled automatic updates on CoH?

of course; wouldnt it help to replace the english ucs file or files with german ones calling it the english ones?

yes, that will change the texts on the game, however, you'll need to disable the automatic updates on that game, otherwise will overwrite your custom language file every time you run CoH on Steam layout.

You need a retail CoH dvd with the language you want then install with the key of the DVD and login with your other account OR just buy it through Steam.
