Russian Veterancy

After searching for a bit, I haven't found any thread that comes clear as to what Russian vet does for the unit.  Maybe someone could help fill me in, or link me to the appropriate thread?

It's so funny! The enemy strelky kill one of my grenadiers and get one vet?!

they need to kill a couple grens to vet, not just one. although that would be nice! ;D
