American tanks

I am not sure if I am not seeing the big picture but the allies need a better tank destroyer. The M10 does OK against most Wehr players but against any serious tank the US have got nothing mobile that can keep up with the infantry. The british have their 17 pounders and firefly tanks that can move with the infantry which has enough firepower and defence to hold its own. But the US have no such thing. Perhaps it would be better to allow the US at least to get the M36 (M10 with the 17 pounder) to combat this issue.

The M36 had once replaced the M10, not sure what happened there.  ???

The basis of Amis tanks is that they are somewhat speedy and have medium to heavy weaponry. Shermans are general purpose, mainly good at everything with the capability of better AT with the 76mm upgrade. Sherman Crocs/105s are excellent Anti-Inf and Anti-Building.

M10s are good for hordes. They are cheap and expendable. With weak armor and high speeds, you can send 3 of these things in to hit the rear armor of a panther.

American Armor < German Armor. But you obtain American armor at a potentially earlier stage. American armor is also quite a bit cheaper. Nonetheless, I do agree with the M36 switch, unless dev's say otherwise.

M10s seem to have awesome speed and penetration and enough armour to take 3 or 4 decent hits from the lighter AT. They can penetrate a Panther's front armour.

2 M10s>Panther for exactly the same cost.

M36 model replaced the M10 because of the misfire bug which caused the M10 to fail to fire but go through it's cooldown anyway. This lead to decreases in M10 damage. Some genius has fixed the bug and so the M10 is back. The M36 model will not go to waste though...

Just wait till the next ToV patch. M-18 Hellcat will get speed and penetration bonuses. It will be faster than any armored car!
Its probably going to be the best tank destroyer ingame (for its price).

M18 is a sexy looking model, but is grossly oversized, just like the Marder. The beta changes seem to make it a replacement rather than a reward unit for the M10  :-X . As part of a battle group you get the M8/M18 upgrades for free..which is crazy to be fair...

m18 is fast as jeep.
m18 is not OP, while faster than m10 it maneuver much worse due to size of model and issues. so flanking can end in disaster more than m10.

also have you seen penetration comparison m10 vs m18 it still heavily in m10 favor
only way around that is to get in close with m18  ;D were penetration easy

american tank are expendable and overpriced anyway I like changes to m18 but it not a cut and dry replacement to m10. cloak finally fixed AND nerfed!

m18 definately not best tank destroyer in game my vote goes to su-85
and vcoh it go to marder(geschutz pre patch as well). if you learn to use marder wisely it is disgusting powerful

On the issue of STEALTHY pak, IMO, all you'll have to do is to turn on the "invisibility" on manually every time it goes off. But let's not speculate, and see, how it'll actually work.
And yes, american tanks are awfully overpriced, forcing the player to go "meat mucking" onto the enemy, which is stupid, and ugly.
But that's just my personal opinion, so don't get furious all over it.

there was a miss-firing bug with the old M10 model which couldn't be solved, so it was replaced by the M36 model (without stat changes) as a placeholder. now the M10 bug was solved so it was brought back in.

lol... that's why we don't use third party models XD... Seriously, that guy did a good job fixing the M10 (thing that Relic won't care to do) and in the internal beta that is already fixed.
