I had been too, but then I googled it ;)

Earth hour is an hour brought into being by Greenpeace. In this hour, that is taking place every year, all public buildings switch off their lights and many private people also do for saving energy. This should be a sign that the world can reduce its energy use dramatically if it only wants to.

Well Hospitals, Police Stations, and all those important stuff don't turn their power off, just in case of emergency.

ALSO elevators :P Imagine riding in one then it's stuck in between the floors, you have to wait for an hour. And your bladder is full. And you hear some guy outside who forgot to turn of the faucet (uh-oh) drip...drip...drip...
