Can't play online game

As you can see in the other forum section, I've tried to play some Pvp games this afternoon but something doesn't work.  :(  :'(

When I invite players, the game say: "incompatible version, invitation canceled".

When I try to join in a game it say "You can't join in this game, you can't connect at it".

I've tried to re-install all Ef and patch all again (CoH version: 2.601 EF Version: [IP address redacted]).

I tried to remove skin pack, the only external file is the original german voices.

Any ideas?

did you modified an EF file? perhaps the other guys had a different version.

Do you have more than 1 mod? Maybe this the problem but i don't know. If everthing will not work, try this - unistall all CoH and reinstall CoH and EF. Maybe this would help. Really dunno what is your problem.

No, any other mods...and I have no idea how to change a file. ;)

With "different" version I mean:

• Use older versions


• Have skin mods


• Changed any EF file(unofficial fixes, e.g. Penal Troops suppression fix)

What about the other two?

1) All updated

2) Only a skin pack but it's uninstalled...I've got only the german voices (it's a skin mod?)
No other mods.

3) No, nothing, all is original and un-changed.

Did you make sure that no files from a previous EF install were there?

I don't think so, but I'm not sure because now I've deleted all...now I'm tryin' to re-install vCoH and after (tomorrow maybe) EF.

Now IJoe says it, @Moonwalker: remember that ModDB has the full installer for 1.3.1.0.

I was specifically talking about vanilla patches after 2.5, since that's where my vanilla CoH installer brings me. So some long time ago I had those downloaded, but still, I constantly forget to implement them, once the installer is finished, thus ending up with the latest EF installed (afterwards) but unable to play. In that case just install these patches (even after EF), - it will still work out well.

I'm using Relic downloader, I'v already download all patches except 2.400/2.500 (the biggest one).

I'm forced to using OF for install instead ToV because RD with ToV doesn't start  :-\

About Ef download, is better ModDB or File Front?

Just download the patches you need from here, and have them on your hard drive:http://cohpatch.relic.com/

Why? I'm patching vCoH ATM, I'll set up all EF tomorrow when I'll come home from work.

Usually for patching EF I use the auto-patcher on the EF Lanucher, there's something wrong with it?

Why download it all every time, if you can run it from your own PC, as you have download it once already (unless you've deleted it later on)l?
I mean, all you download with either of these two programmes is stored on your PC. So why should you do it every time anew?

Use this for CoH patches:

For EF Full version use Download Manager + File Front. I use JDownloader for those tasks ;).

Those patches are outdated XD!!! Only will be useful as part of a museum XD!!

The EF updates are here:
[Company of Heroes main directory]\EF_Updates
To find vanilla patches search PC for 2500_2501_Patch.exe or 2501_2502_Patch.exe or 2502_2600_Patch.exe or 2600_2601_Patch.exe

Just save all you find necessary (f.e. all vanilla patches above you version you end up with after the initial installation) to any voluntarily picked location on your hard drive/write it down on DVD.

Don't use RelicDownloder, that is for the weaks ;D!! Besides is buggy. That's why IJoe and me posted alternate sites. You only needed to install ToV and download the patches from there :(.

Don't use RelicDownloder, that is for the weaks ;D!! Besides is buggy. That's why IJoe and me posted alternate sites. You only needed to install ToV and download the patches from there :(.
