Lenin?

I know that devs are busy people and have a lot of stuff to worry about... but do we have Lenin? I mean statue of Lenin. In 30s. those were more popular in USSR than cars.

I believe that statues like those would give maps awesome climate of real Soviet town.

This is my point of view. No flame wars here or discussion about politics. Just mapping suggestion.

You know, I have mapping project, but I need Lenin. I guess every soviet good looking city need Lenin.

I just hope BurroDiablo will have some free time to finish comrade Lenin  :)

Made it over a year ago, was my first attempt a human model, so it's not perfect :P

I may do another lower poly version of the statue cephalos posted, but rig it so I can get the pose right, including his hands which were just stock one's I'd made ages ago.

Now constructive criticism:
- arms look... thin
- head.... lol, it's my grandpa  :D

That's why I said I'm going to do another one and rig it up. This wasn't meant for EF, so it hasn't been optimised or UVW'ed.

Not yet. I personally have been focussing fully on the Ostheer since we have few active modellers/skinners. Maybe when I've got nothing else to do I can start doing environment objects, although I'd like to start Soviet base buildings :P

well thats good, but i like the way the soviets use their buildings from the americans and the axis

Burro, could it be possible to make different sign on Allies' ammo stacks? To replace white star in circle with red star? I guess it's far less work than making totally new one, and it would give another climatic feel. Also you could put some of them to Soviet Armoury, so show that it's armoury. For now there's only 5 barrels there....

The only I want to add is that in Stalin's times there was also Stalin's statues...  ;)

For sure they were. But for now I think Lenin would do better.

But as far I can see Burro is busy right now, and he can't waste time to make 5th grade suggestion alive. As far there are Ostheer, Soviet Rewards, Soviet Buildings and Campaign and those are priorities for now.

Maybe another time, or another person.
As a post beginner I'll lock this to end this discussion. Cool feeling  8)
