My first thoughts on the Soviet faction
Just downloaded Eastern Front yeasterday to give the new faction a try.
Firstly great job on it all, not that easy to tell the difference between this and the real game quality wise.
My first thoughts on the Soviet faction are it is a bit overdone. So many units and upgrades compared to the others I couldn't really get to grips with what each thing does as easily as I could with the other factions. There seems to be able 8 different kinds of infantry and 9 or so tanks. The armoury upgrades were a tad overwhelming as well.
My suggestion would be to refine these units and upgrades so there aren't as many and to make it clear what each one does. For example having 4 tanks each with a specific purpose like the other factions instead of 8 or 9, many of which are overlapping on eachothers role. Less and more precise armoury upgrades might be a good idea as well.
The only other idea would be to create another Soviet faction and put all the excess unit types in there.
Good job overall though.
